Re: BBC iPlayer App to End Service on Wii U in Early 2017

I'm disappointed by this. I use the wii u as my main media device. More than all other TV and gaming combined. Was hoping for All 4 and more applications. Expected to be using Iplayer a long time into the future. Will have to download all the TV players to the PS3 while I still can. Was planning to get an NX as my 4K player will probably be a PS or Xbox now. Planned obsolescence before your next console us out is not a smart move Nintendo. Bad one.

Is there still an Egyptian theme? Footage I just seen had a modern grimy industrial look fighting zombies. Much prefer the original brighter colourful temple style. Seen enough grim post apocalypse settings

Re: BBC iPlayer Finally Arrives On The Wii U eShop

At last , been waiting so long for this. Very lazy not to make use of the touch screen. Poor design not allowing browsing on pad while a programme plays on TV. Hopefully sorted with an update. Now we need itvplayer, 4OD and demand 5 apps. Oh and a Plex, Xbmc or pleXBMC app too. Might have to wait for home brew versions I think.

Re: Talking Point: Is There A Future For The Wii U Without The GamePad?

Also once could sell the gamepads with the upcoming nfc figurines as a "starter pack" a real low start price could boost sales. Also selling the pads seperately would allow multiple pads with one console. I love the gamepad but I honestly thought when buying the wii u it was only bundled in with the deluxe 32gb black console. Many people seem more confused than I was. Nintendo should scrap the basic 8gb and replace it with a gamepad free supercheap version. Keep the deluxe but also give people what they think they want and what will sell. Many will upgrade to a gamepad later anyway.

The gamepad is the best thing about the wii u. Anyone who has used it wouldn't dream of buying a wii u without it. Nintendo should sell a basic wii u without gamepad just a wii mote. They could retail for £129/$199 shift a load of units. Cut the price to €/£99 $169 before Christmas sell loads more. Sell the pad seperately for around £79/$129
