This is so disappointing, Olli Olli and Olli Olli 2 are some of best arcade games ever. Never got around to Olli Olli world or rollerdrome, but I bought both and rollerdrome in particular looks awesome.
Never played Kerbal Space Program, but any game company closing sucks. Take Two makes billions off of GTA Online every year, you're telling me they can't afford to keep these studios open?
@Switch_Pro Emulators being illegal would mean that tons of video games go unpreserved and forgotten, and the only way you could play F-Zero GX is on a blurry 4K TV screen. If you've ever connected a non-HD console to a modern TV, you know how blurry and awful the experience is.
@Arkay Maybe for the Switch generation, you have a point. But I believe emulation of every system from the NES to the 3DS and Wii U is now fair game, since Nintendo doesn't make any money on those anymore.
The best way to combat piracy is to offer your customer's a better product. If I can run BOTW at 4k60 through Yuzu/Suzu then release a Switch Pro. Stop drip feeding us 3 SNES games and 1 GBA title every 1-3 months. I love Nintendo but I am so tired of their business practices.
I read somewhere that the dev of this game actually used to be a guy who worked on slot machines in the casinos, but decided to use his power for good and make this game. It makes sense because I would stay up all night playing this on my Mac, awesome game
I understand the skepticism most people have about the physical-only release, but in the short term I think this is kind of genius marketing. The eShop is so poorly designed and such a mess that legitimately great games get buried underneath tons of filler and overshadowed by more high-profile releases (Stardew, Cuphead, Hollow Knight etc). I think the physical-only approach will at the very least get more eyes on the game, and that's a great thing. Plus, this game looks absolutely awesome, I understand why it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea though.
If this is true, I don't see why anyone would spring for the Switch OLED. The $50 price bump was already a tough sell considering the lack of any performance improvements.
@BaronMunchausen I literally came to the comments to say this exact thing. Geometry Wars is an absolute must-play, especially the 2nd game. It's an arcade masterpiece. It's a shame the developer, Bizarre Creations, got shut down because they made really awesome video games.
@MissionCtrlStudios It's really cool that you guys are responding to criticism and stuff. I watched another review on YouTube for a second opinion and it was awesome to see that you guys were in the comments of that video as well, addressing the future of the game and potential updates you were looking into. I took the plunge and bought the game, and I wish you guys the best of luck, because there's seriously a lot of potential here.

Re: Nintendo Hacker Gary Bowser Says Conviction Was "A Blessing"
I read a quote once that said something like "you can't control what happens, but you can control your reaction to it"
Glad to see this guy is trying to restart his life and isn't blaming Nintendo, even though they did do him really dirty
