Disappointed they chose to release DS -and- GBA games on the Wii U instead of the 3DS...I can see why they're doing that (to try and bolster extremely poor Wii U sales I guess), but it still just doesn't feel like the right thing to do. The 3DS would've been the natural fit, and then Nintendo could've done N64/GC games on the Wii U instead.
It's actually a pretty fun '5 minute timewaster' sort of a game. Me and a few colleagues have been having a quick competition on our breaks recently to see who can get the highest score. It's not a game you can spend hours on, but then that's not what it's meant to be!
Rumors of a larger model of the Nintendo 3DS being in production appeared during June 2012, when Japanese publication Nikkei wrote an article stating that the system was initially scheduled to be unveiled at E3 2012. However, Nintendo responded that these rumors were false and that the article was "entire speculation", but refrained from further commenting on the subject. Finally, on June 21, 2012, the system was announced during a Nintendo Direct presentation, and was set to launch on all major regions during the middle of the year.
Therefore I wouldn't put any weight to these denials Nintendo are coming out with regarding their games not being on smart devices in the future!
It's a bit frustrating that average games like the 3DS Mario Party is doing so well in the UK charts compared to other much better 3DS games. Doesn't really send out a good signal to Nintendo as to the kind of games they should make going forwards...
@JogurtTheYogurt I imagine Forbidden Planet sell them if you're on about high street stores, if not then there's probably loads of online stores that have them.
It's a very good JRPG, though the way the developers have squeezed an extra 15-20 hours of gameplay out of it is very lazy imo. You guys will know what I mean once you play through it!
The answer is obvious - even if it's not this gen, Nintendo should realise that portable gaming is what they do best and where they gain the biggest profit margins. There is no point trying to be profitable in the home console market at present (in the west anyway) while Sony and Microsoft are around, so just focus all future development on the portable side of the business.
Who on earth would spend £4.49 on Mario Bros which is essentially a minigame? Bit of a joke that it's more expensive than proper full length games on the VC like SMB3 (or any of the Super Mario games for that matter).
Cautiously optimistic for Mario Golf, since the GBC and GBA versions had incredibly fun and addictive gameplay. Hopefully Camelot don't mess it up, like they did with Mario Tennis!
What a bad first impression this must be giving to all the new Nintendo console/handheld owners out there. Really poor from Nintendo, over 24 hours with basically no online functionality for the vast majority of their customers.
They should at least have had the option to take a photo of your own face with the 3DS camera, and then import it into the game. That might have provided a few laughs!

Re: Talking Point: What We Expect In Nintendo Direct - 13th February
I predict a shock announcement of a new Metroid for the 3DS.

Valentine's Day ND = Reggie & Iwata bromance?

So does this mean in 2015 we are going to have Nintendo Gyms?

Whoever put the final bid in will not pay. They never do on auctions like this.

Re: Nintendo Download: 23rd January (Europe)
I'll pick up Rage of the Gladiator and Fractured Soul for sure, maybe AiRace too at that price.
Re: Mario Party: Island Tour Arrives in the UK Top 20
Inazuma won't make it into the top 40. DK might last a couple of weeks in there before it drops out again.

Re: Updated Zelda and Animal Crossing 3DS Card Cases Arrive on Club Nintendo
@elstif Most likely not available for Europe as we never get half the stuff that North America gets.

@appel Wow I had no idea that was in development! +1 from me then for a western localization, though I doubt it'll happen...

Re: Nintendo Acknowledges Network Issues and Suggests Patience
@Cyberbotv2 Difference being that PSN is a paid service, we don't pay for any of Nintendo's online services.

@TheItalianBaptist Yep - it's the artwork for the movie The Last Action Hero!
