Re: Game Boy Advance Titles To Hit Wii U Virtual Console From April Onwards

Disappointed they chose to release DS -and- GBA games on the Wii U instead of the 3DS...I can see why they're doing that (to try and bolster extremely poor Wii U sales I guess), but it still just doesn't feel like the right thing to do. The 3DS would've been the natural fit, and then Nintendo could've done N64/GC games on the Wii U instead.

Re: Nintendo States There Are "No Plans" to Bring Mini-Games to Smart Devices

As others here have pointed out (from Wikipedia):

Rumors of a larger model of the Nintendo 3DS being in production appeared during June 2012, when Japanese publication Nikkei wrote an article stating that the system was initially scheduled to be unveiled at E3 2012. However, Nintendo responded that these rumors were false and that the article was "entire speculation", but refrained from further commenting on the subject. Finally, on June 21, 2012, the system was announced during a Nintendo Direct presentation, and was set to launch on all major regions during the middle of the year.

Therefore I wouldn't put any weight to these denials Nintendo are coming out with regarding their games not being on smart devices in the future!

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Wii U Struggles Bring a Challenge, Not Doom

The answer is obvious - even if it's not this gen, Nintendo should realise that portable gaming is what they do best and where they gain the biggest profit margins. There is no point trying to be profitable in the home console market at present (in the west anyway) while Sony and Microsoft are around, so just focus all future development on the portable side of the business.

Who on earth would spend £4.49 on Mario Bros which is essentially a minigame? Bit of a joke that it's more expensive than proper full length games on the VC like SMB3 (or any of the Super Mario games for that matter).
