Re: Nintendo: "Physical Games Are Still A Key Part Of Our Business"

I actually think the game key card is not a bad invention in of itself - buying a game digitally means you have no way to sell it on once you've finished playing with it, which you can theoretically do with a key card. The obvious downside is that developers can save money by opting for this route over an actual game card. So we've got the mid stage between the best option and the worst option.

I think one thing a lot of us are in a bit of denial about is that gaming will probably be all digital at some point. I can remember going into not just dedicated gaming stores, but department stores, and see rows and rows of big box PC games (and later their DVD/jewel case counterparts) - but I can't honestly remember the last time I saw a PC game for sale in physical form (and I'm sure they do exist) due to the popularity of Steam, et al. Maybe physical games will see a vinyl-esque resurgence with people realizing a tangible object beats something you can't hold any day of the week - though like vinyl we need to be prepared to pay the price for an object.

Re: Rumour: New Switch 2 Rumour Makes Wild Claim About Mysterious 'C' Button

@Chlocean has it right for cursor I think

If it's not that, and some kind of second screen option, I don't think the Switch 1 becomes the controller, I think it becomes the display - alternatively, the Switch 2 casts to the dock connected to your TV (with the dock having some extra hardware in it for this option).

This seems the most 'seamless' way. For the Switch 1 to be your controller, you'd need to either A) hit the C button on your SW2, then set it down as the display, pickup your SW1 and start using it or B). go over to your dock, hit the C button, and then use your SW1 OR have the joycon(s) detached and hit the C, then put the joycon(s) down, and pickup the SW1 and start using it as a gamepad with extra screen. Most of that could be achieved by a menu rather than a button.

SW2 as controller and extra screen seems more like as you hit C and select your TV from a list of options, or you have your SW1 screen setup on a table with it's stand, then hit C, and select it. 1 or 2 steps less to setup.
