There's also some subtle differences in the music and interface, and one spelling difference in the second zone title (for some reason, the SMS version is Gigalopolis, whereas the GG version is Gigapolis). Aside from the different intro music and Gigapolis zone music, the other changes probably won't be noticed by most people.
@SmaMan I have the GB version, and as evidenced from my post above, the SNES version's menus aren't difficult to navigate, as I've played through much of it as well. Hence my reasoning for it having a decent shot as a VC import title, although Japan doesn't even have it (or KDL3) yet.
"I wonder if "Kirby's Star Stacker" (Kirby no KiraKira Kids) will be released on the VC."
I could see it as a potential import. The menus aren't too difficult to navigate even without any Japanese knowledge, and any needed menu translations could be in the Operations Guide, like they did for Puyo Puyo 2.
Yes. It's a pretty much arcade-perfect port, along with an okay competitive vs mode. With that said, paying $8 today for what is essentially a 1978 game is a tough call.
Judging from its manual, Yummy Yummy Cooking Jam seems like one of those "casual" arcadey cooking games, like Cake Mania, Order Up or others of that style. It also seems a bit overpriced at $10, it probably should have been $7 or $8.
There's Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic Chaos, Sonic Spinball, and Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine. All except the first game were only released in Europe originally, although their Game Gear versions were released in the US. There was also a Brazil-exclusive Game Gear-to-Master System conversion of Sonic Blast.
Most likely bad as in crap. I can't vouch for the TGCD version, but the arcade game it's based on (Riot City) is pretty bland. It's not terrible, but it's nothing compared to the Streets of Rage and Final Fight sequels. Judging from the video, the TGCD version plays quite similarly, just with fewer enemies onscreen at once and no 2 player support.
The Dynastic Hero and Top Hunter were both released in the US. Additionally, although the original Panel de Pon would later be re-tooled into Tetris Attack, the US/EU version was re-released in Japan as Yoshi's Panel de Pon. Since they are only getting the original version, it isn't a guarantee of a Western release, although I suspect we'll see TA eventually.
"Thanks again, Ben (You told me about Bases Loaded last month too, right?). I honestly don't know much about all the sports games!"
You're welcome. I like to keep track of games which could potentially come to the US since Nintendo is bad about announcing them ahead of time. I'll chime in when/if your Japanese lists need work, but you've been doing great so far.
Since all three are early Neo-Geo games, none of them are very big. Completely uncompressed, Magician Lord is about 5 MB, Fatal Fury is about 7 MB, and World Heroes is about 10. I suspect the Wii's emulator will compress those quite a bit, since even zip files cut those sizes in half. The only Neo games that were really huge were from around 1998 and onward.

Re: OFLC Update: Two More Imports
"Was the original Twinbee on TG16?"
No. The TG16 entry is Detana Twinbee, the fourth total entry in the series, and the second arcade game in the series.
Re: OFLC Update: Two More Imports
"Is Twinbee the same game as Stinger on the NES or are they 2 seperate series?"
Stinger is a localization of the second Twinbee game.
Re: Wonder Boy in Monster Land Includes Special Options
For anyone wondering, here's a complete list of SMS games with FM support, including non-Japanese releases.

Re: USA VC Update: Kirby's Dream Land 3
"Is there....Is there anything left for Gradius as far as VC? Besides Life Force and Gradius 2 NES, I cant think of anything."
There's also the PC Engine version of Gradius 1, which has been out in Japan for quite a while.
Re: USA WiiWare Update: Sandy Beach
"oh and to anyone who has played the original kirby dl3 on snes, can kirby infinately float or is it a mistake in the vc version?"
It's infinite. The only traditional Kirby game with limited flight is Kirby 64.

It was put up there late last week.
Re: USA VC Update: Forgotten Worlds and Space Invaders
"How much was Space Invaders on SNES when it first came out? Does anyone remember?"
I think it was around $20 or $30 when it first came out in late 97.

Yes. It's a pretty much arcade-perfect port, along with an okay competitive vs mode. With that said, paying $8 today for what is essentially a 1978 game is a tough call.

"Yummy Yummy wasn't so unexpected because of that:

It was also ESRB rated a while back, during the summer, but I guess nobody picked up on it or thought it was a retail release.

Pro Golf was released in the US as Power Golf.
