If you want to compare Mario Kart World to MK8, you need to compare it to the launched version and not the end product we had after more than a decade of support. Most of you never owned a Wii U and have no idea how contentious parts of MK8 were at first. There weren’t enough people playing it for it to make the news because so few people owned a Wii U.
Frankly, y’all look pretty silly talking about how Nintendo breaks everything and ignores everyone while simultaneously stating how much better MK8 is, which is a game they perfected over a long period of support and updates conceived through feedback.
@Guddy I’m glad someone finally said this. I get why the competition scene is upset about this, but everyone, including Nintendo Life, talking about this as if all fans of Mario Kart World are upset is confusing, misleading, and unhelpful. Hopefully Nintendo figures out the ACTUAL problem and who ACTUALLY cares about this, because journalists are not helping and all the players commenting seem to assume everyone thinks like them.
Not me. I’ll play Mario Kart World a few weeks, move on, and drop back in from time to time. That will be the experience of 95% of the player base or more. Hell, I was really confused about what these “intermission” tracks were until update caused everyone to start talking about it more succinctly
