Speaking as someone who bought bothh Nintendo and Microsoft consoles for the last 3 generations I can faithfully say that at no point did I look at my Wii and say "I don't need actually want this Xbox - I can get everything I need from this Wii right here."
As for the Switch - if they released a Switch 2.0 tomorrow I would absolutely buy it, and I most likely would have no plans to buy a second home console as the offering on the Switch has been immense and totally satisfying so far.
@gcunit Polygon gave it a 9.5 - even though I feel like their review was more enthusiastic than this one.
It's a shame about the motion controls when so many people still experience Joycon drop out, this has been the only negative point in any of these reviews.
I definitely see this as a tactic for first party retailers to win out. I often wondered why people would go direct eshop when they could get a discounted download code. Now you can play it 1 hour earlier than everyone else. I could easily see this blooming into 1 day or 1 week earlier for pay to win style games.
I feel bad for Gamestop who's way to entice people to buy physical in store instead of for less money on Amazon is to literally give out Mario shaped air fresheners with this game.
@Heavyarms55 retcon'ing Timothy Zahn's novels basically knocked my fandom out of orbit. I still consume Star Wars stuff but the universe feels less whole for me.
I guess Marvel fans have been putting up with this kind of nonsense for years though so.... oh well.
@ThomasBW84 When I first went digging for more info than what was included on the eSHOP, it was not in the place I would have thought to look on their website.
I was also kind of flabergasted that at the time of announcement (and apparently as of my writing this) they didn't have a release timeline but then as soon as you purchase the season pass your receipt outlines when to expect the DLC to drop.
Excited for Yono, Wulverblade, and Flame in the Flood. It's a shame that there is no time to actually play these with all the super quality titles I already have on the back burner.
I fee like Wulverblade should have dropped many weeks ago if it wanted even a remote chance of being a smash hit at that price point.
This was a day one buy for me. While I find it fun to play solo, my friends and I have had a good go at this for couch co-op and it's an absolute blast.
Has good reviews on Steam. Curious if any of the motion controls are carried over from the VR release although the Steam version says it can be played with without a VR headset.
This movie came out in 2016, not 2017 as the PR suggests, and got terrible reviews.

Re: The Deer God Leaps Onto Switch Later This Month
They lost me at "procedurally generated."
The art style reminds me of Kamiko though so I imagine I'll try it.

@UboaNoticedYou
I guess that's how you troll a salty poster. Post normal boring things instead.
As a disclaimer - Sliggy's comments are usually the best ones in most threads IMO and it irks me that someone has a fake account.
Re: Ubisoft Thinks The Next Console Cycle Isn't Far Away, So Where Does That Leave Switch?
"Toe to toe" is an absolute exaggeration.

Re: Nintendo Switch OS Version 4.0.1 Is Now Available
@Nincompoop Is this a bluetooth headphone with a usb adapter or just straight up bluetooth pairing?
Re: You Can Now Pre-Load Super Mario Odyssey From The Switch eShop
@BlueOcean My guess is money.

Re: Nintendo Download: 19th October (North America)
The number of people voting nothing for me this week is awesome. Nice to have a decent amount of competition for a change.
