To say Stardew Valley has a lot for you to do is a little bit of an understatement. With so much farming, mining, fishing and rummaging through bins to do, it can be a bit overwhelming the first time you set out.

Tip number one don't go to the beach with full pockets....i had no room for the fishing rod so i went "home" to empty them, ran out of energy, slept....woke up and it was gone.
I'll never fish in this game out of spite 😅
This was actually pretty helpful. I'm not going to lie; I was wandering around pretty aimlessly this morning for my first hour or so of playing. The game could use a bit more of a sense of direction, at least at the beginning.
These video articles are really annoying. Some people would prefer reading. At least write out a short list in addition.
Now that I'm finally playing it I'm happy to see all the praise and hype was not overblown. I can see this easily becoming a 100+ hour time suck.
@justin233 For me it depends on the time of day. Daytime - it's super annoying. But at night, when I'm home a playing a game or something, I like having them to run in the background.
Man, I started playing last night at 11 PM and I'm already hopelessly enthralled. I don't think I'll find it in me to do anything this weekend apart from playing this little gem.
For some reason the art style of the game is unappealing to me 🤷♀️
Great game. Now if only the static noise in docked mode problem could get fixed asap, cause it's really irritating. A restart of the game temporarily fixes it, but comes back soon enough
I'll get to this once I finish up the games on my SNES mini. But it will be glorious!
Can't wait to get this! It looks like something I could really waste a lot of time on. Now if only I had the money to waste, too...

turned on auto run. moves at the same speed... Also where is the run button?
@Sidon_ZoraPrince Tip number 2: you can empty your pockets wherever you like by going to the inventory screen and moving things into the trash can.
@Megal0maniac I've noticed that, too. It's very subtle, and at first I thought my speaker was blown, but I'm glad it's just a glitch. Here's hoping it gets patched soon.

@gcunit i know that but everything i had was worth gold, that i needed ....i didnt plan on fainting on the way to my shipping box 😅
