Re: The "Foam Pads" In The Zelda Joy-Con Controllers Aren't New

...every Joy-Con I've ever opened to mod or repair (...starting early 2019) has had these two black-strips on the battery-tray ...I know this for sure because I tried, without success, to transfer them to the new battery-tray during a shell-swap ...I'd be more interested if someone had a pic of an OEM Joy-Con that "doesn't" have these strips. Actually, also wouldn't mind having a roll of this black-strip "tape" to make my shell-swaps a little more authentic.

...looks like the Nintendo of America site's Joy-Con Color Viewer has been updated to include (L) Blue, (L) Neon Purple, (R) Neon Orange, & (L) Neon Green to reflect the sets being released this October (...including the BestBuy exclusive (L/R) Neon Green) ...alas, still won't let you see (R) Neon Pink ...or (L/R) 'Mario' Red ...also, no Neon Pink or Neon Green wrist-straps yet

...maybe it's just wishful thinking on my behalf, but the BestBuy Joy-Con pair are listed as "Green" (...with description to follow) ...not listed as "Neon Green" ...all other Joy-Con are specifically listed as "Neon" (...when applicable) ...also, the "Green" Joy-Con are the only pair presented without box-art ...so it's reasonable to assume the picture shown is just a temporary place-holder ...so, kinda hoping these might turn out to be the non-Neon "Luigi Green" Joy-Con I've been wanting to match my "Mario Red" ones! (...per chance, to dream)

...I just picked up a pair of black ones on eBay (...there's finally an option to red/blue & blue/red ones) ...they're fine enough (especially at the price) ...they paired with my Switch just as any original Joy-Con do and they work attached or unattached ...although, I still can't figure out how you're supposed to update them ...I hooked them up to my computer with the USB cable but there's no interface software ...they just show up as being connected ...couldn't find any help online either (...though, I did find the manufacturer makes them in more of the colors of the regular Nintendo Joy-Con controls, including yellow/yellow, pink/green, green/pink, & even Pikachu/Eevee colors ...just have to wait for some distributor to pick 'em up and put them out for sale) ...aside, I did see that they are also now available on Amazon from seller named Skyrim (...though they're marked up in price $10 to $15)
