@the_beaver Personally I don't expect Prime 4 to be a Switch game at all anymore, but I agree if it does make it this generation it will be comparable.
Pretty safe bet that it is, at least from a technical perspective.
We'll get some less taxing games like Pikmin 4, and probably one or two unannounced titles for this fall/winter, but I doubt any 1st party game will push the hardware like TOTK.
I'm so excited to finally get to play these. Rhapsody was a lighthearted and thoroughly enjoyable experience, even if extremely easy. I never thought I'd get a chance to play the sequels.
@Hero-of-WiiU Mario Land 2 is a great platformer. A bit easy, but well worth the time. Wario Land 3 isn't the best in the series but also worth a look, and Link's Awakening is still great (assuming you didn't play the remake already).
Honestly I think Alone in the Dark and maybe Game and Watch are the only ones not worth a try. They definitely front loaded the GB library with some of the titles that hold up best so as not to turn too many people off with terribly dated gameplay.
@JONOFTHEJONS BenAV already gave a thorough answer, but I just wanted to chime in to say that I'd definitely start with Ryza. The quality of life improvements are significant, if you end up falling in love with the formula you can then try to go back and overlook the rough edges of earlier entries.
I've never been a fan of the series, but I was still glad to see it return because I knew so many others were hoping for a revival and it seemed like long odds that would ever happen.
The dirty secret about investors is that even many of the major players have absolutely no idea what they're doing. The stock market is a casino not a science.
There are exceptions of course, but the herd mentality is strong.
I expect them to announce the successor early 2024 in a Direct and launch November 2024. I'd be surprised if we saw the next console earlier than Spring 2024. Nintendo is going to milk one more Christmas out of the Switch (maybe with a price drop?) juggernaut.
I got it a day early (happens sometimes since I live near the mail center) and put about 7hrs in thus far. Unfortunately don't have a lot good to report.
Frontiers is very aimless most of the time, just running from one action segment to the next. It simultaneously feels as if there's way too much to do (it has Ubisoft 'map full of icons...but only 6-8 different kinds over and over' disease) and also too little holding it together to keep me engaged. They try to do some puzzles and they aren't well executed, one particular mandatory light puzzle very early is going to make a million kids rage. Bosses are quite tough, at least the first two area-ending bosses, but I didn't enjoy them. The skill tree and leveling feel incredibly out of place, but you'd better upgrade often or those aforementioned bosses will crush you quick.
Overall I'd say 5/10 or 6/10 from what I've played so far. I liked Forces significantly more, even with its flaws.

Re: Review: Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist Of The End & The Secret Key - A Perfect End To The Best Atelier Trilogy
Sounds awesome! Ryza 2 was a big step up from the first game in the trilogy (which was already quite fun) so this should be another gem.
