@Starcakes since when is 7 years only a "few months"?? I guess according to you 90 months are only a "few"?? The 3DS version came out in 2012 (Japan), that was its most recent mainline game! Geez, 90 months are only a "few", what are you 1,000 years old to consider 7 years only a few months???
Just throwing it out there, but what if the $200 thing was you know a new iteration of Switch? Yes, yes, Nintendo said they wouldn't show a new model AT E3, but they said nothing about not showing one this year. Look when the 2DS was announced, it wasn't at E3!
Great, now can he speed up Animal Crossing on Switch's development? SEVEN YEARS BETWEEN GAMES IS TOO LONG, AND JAPAN HAS WAITED OVER 7 YEARS BETWEEN RELEASES!!
Well, that wasn't true, as in 2019 Nintendo officially said they're no longer developing 3DS games. Nintendo sticking to Nintendo's track record of saying one thing, and doing another...
I'm refusing to buy ANY Nintendo game until I get my Animal Crossing!! You troll us in 2015, you tease us in 2017. You tempt us in 2018, then you finally reveal you've got one in the works for 2019 (barring any delay), but you won't show us anything about it?? In 2010 we knew that 3DS's version would have cliffs, we knew it was going to release the following year (delayed to 2012 for Japan, 2013 for us), so quit this already! I'm done with you until you put a new Animal Crossing game out, one that's not lootbox garbage!! I used to like Pocket Camp until you ruined it!
OF COURSE I REMEMBER THE WII SPEAK I LOVE ANIMAL CROSSING!! This just sucks though how we were trolled by Nintendo in 2015 with a Wii U game that shall remain namelss, only to be silent for the next 4 years, then the little blurb, oh hey, remember how Isabelle was the new main character that everyone loves in New Leaf? Well, she's coming to Smash! Oh, and by the way, yeah, we're working on another Animal Crossing to be released in 2019, but we're not going to show you any footage of it! GOD DANG IT NINTENDO!!! OHHHHH. I LOVE AND HATE YOU AT THE SAME TIME!!!
Ugh, the longer they take before showing Animal Crossing, the more I feel it's coming out late in the year... My Switch isn't going to be getting any new games until they finally give me my Animal Crossing!!! We were trolled by Nintendo at E3, 2015, and nearly 5 years later NOTHING to show what the Switch's will be! Come on, you've had 4 years (at least) to develop one, and you won't show us ANY game footage???? GIVE ME MY ANIMAL CROSSING OR I WILL REVOLT!!!
@AlphaElite no, no previous Nintendo system has had more than one (unless you count VC). What I suspect, and it's a guess, but an educated one, and game droughts are showing this. HD games take a lot to develop. You can see how long it's taking to make next games in the series from Sony and Microsoft, as well. Nintendo knows this after the incredible game droughts the Wii U suffered, so I'll bet their Mario Kart team has been making mobile as the 9th in the series, with the 8 being the port, because it's more likely new DLC will fill in the gaps until the next one releases- which may not even be on Switch, just due to the length of development time. Sure, Mario Kart is small compared to Zelda, but it's likely that another Mario Kart won't get released on Switch, especially when considering that by the time it would Switch may be 6 or 7, maybe even 8 years old by then- it's already in its 3rd year now!

Re: Rumour Buster: Don't Panic, Animal Crossing On Switch Has Not Been Delayed
Let's look at Nintendo's recent track record for Animal Crossing, shall we? The 3DS version was announced way back in 2010:
https://www.ign.com/articles/2010/06/15/e3-2010-animal-crossing-3ds-announced
It was supposed to have been released in 2011 for Japan and 2012 for the US. That didn't happen:
https://animalcrossingworld.com/2012/06/is-animal-crossing-3ds-delayed-to-2013-no-listing-of-it-in-the-2012-release-for-3ds/
The mobile app was announced in 2016:
https://www.polygon.com/2016/4/27/11516670/fire-emblem-animal-crossing-for-mobile-ios-android-nintendo
It was supposed to come the same year, but was delayed to 2017:

See? They've got a repeated history of delaying the most anticipated Animal Crossing games!!!

Re: The 3DS Is Far From Dead, Nintendo Says It's "Continuing With Efforts To Expand Sales"
Give it up already, Nintendo! Your own fiscal forecast for 2019 is like 30% of what it was last year, that's NOT growth!
