As many others have expressed I'm really having a hard time trying to understand how having less choices is actually equal to expanding them.
That simply nonsensical statement is part of what NOA and Reggie represents.
We've been underhanded in so many things, as the platinum fiasco, and basically all of the Nintendo club reward system.
How can you base a decision on data of a system that is not representing the new update?
The New 3DS has bigger screen, customizable plates, much better ergonomics, and NOA still thinks that the old XL and old 3DS will be an indications as of how new system will perform.
NOA is going back to the old ways of a closed minded stubborn nonsensical company with absolutely no regards to customers. Because of this I jumped into Sony camp system few years ago and I'll just do the same now.
It's good that we as consumers have options, and we can make statements with our money and investments. This is something they will realize once sale numbers start to show, the XL is not going to sell as well as if they had released the normal size model.
Have you seen the custom plates being released on UK? They are simply amazing!
I wanted to buy the smaller size white version.
I really don't get it, NOA is just plain irrational, stupid and stubborn, they simply don't care about the customer.
Really bad selection. I either own or not interested. This is incredibly disappointing. Maybe sell code? what a pain, horrible decision from Nintendo. If they're going all digital why not a broader selection instead of this? What a waste!
LOL... This morning I rushed to my WiiU to purchase the games, didn't notice this is only for Europe, but hopefully I'll be able to purchase at discount soon.
Meeeh... Big deal... As many have expressed on this topic, it would make some sense to release on both 3DS and WiiU and finally adopt a one transaction for both systems. I still have a micro gba, If I feel the need to play GBA I can, on the original hardware, and guess what, I can take it with me to work, or during commute. Another half baked idea from Nintendo which is not doing much for the system or users.
I own a WiiU bought during one of the recent batch of offers online, specifically the one with Mario and Luigi for about 260. I like the system a lot, but it seems that it's going to become kind of an OUYA, it's great we have Indie support... but what about other mayor publishers... we are missing out on lots of great games.
@Guybrush20X6 Just buy a "Y" cable for portable drives. This will allow one part of the "Y" to be used for data and the other for power. I bought mine at BH, it's very inexpensive and works perfectly. I'm using a small laptop external drive which failed to start spinning without it, now I have MH3 and other games running from the external drive.
I'll buy it, but not right now, I'm still playing other games. However, I really thought this would sell like crazy in Japan... this worries me to be honest, but nothing much we can do.
I really don't see the point. Most wiiu users own a 3DS or a DS. Most games can be bought for dirt cheap! So why buy them again to play on the wii tablet? I might as well buy them or play them on the original media and I'll be able to take them with me anywhere.
I don't think I would had bought the Wii U without the game pad. Jumped into the system recently looking for a new gaming experience. Now is the time to buy a Wii U, reduced price good games and fresh experience, the game pad is what is setting Wii U apart. And once you use it, it's hard going back, same as the 3D effect on the 3DS, I thought it was a gimmick until I bought one.

Re: Poll: Which New Nintendo 3DS Will You be Buying?
You should add "Not buying/not released" for people as me interested in the regular size 3ds not release for by NOA.
