@BAN It wouldn't be so bad if the only other Mario RPG series didn't just die. Bug Fables is alright but if Kirby's Epic Yarn was the ONLY way forward in the Kirby games, Kirby fans would complain too.
@TG16_IS_BAE People who grew up with Sticker Star and people who like the originals more. If anyone played them all it's dead easy to tell when the quality took a steep drop.
@NEStalgia Funny, because they haven't been able to take down the single GitHub which has been hosting this since day one. Because the executables are illegal.
There's even an "accessories" section that has badge effects! Still worried about progression but that page explains everything way better than any video about this game.
Companions being used in battle is a huge step in the right direction. But it's all for naught if the battles still don't provide any meaningful progression other than buying coins for more moves. This trailer actually makes the consumable moves less clear, are ANY moves permanent? We assumed the normal boots and hammer were but they're not in all the menu scenes here, and when they are it's the same menu as the special moves. And we know nothing about any form of exp. I'm guessing the bag has an expandable limit on confetti, so do we craft moves?
I'm still worried this game will just be a walk through a paper diorama, and while the battle system looks fun there will still be no point.
@mesome713 I faked it. I reverse engineered the gold, silver, and crystal source code and intentionally made the programming super incompotent as a joke. I did it in DMG assembly, my favorite programming language, as a gag. I then proceed to do that 600 more times with very minor tweaks to the translation also as a joke. I then wrote code by iwata that wasn't incompotent as a joke. I also made a new bad gameboy emulator as a joke. I then drew hundreds of sprites ranging from barely started to completely finalized and wrote dex entries and fake moves for everything as a joke. I also wrote hundreds of fake emails, you guessed it, as a joke. I also intentionally programmed in bugs, made fake bug reports, and refused to address the bugs all for a laugh. and I did this in six languages as a joke.
I also created fake sdks for the n64, gamecube, and wii. I reverse engineered them in my basement and created hundreds of microcode snippets as a gaff. you morons are all playing into my hands.
you all fell for it.
I really hope I don't need the /s, it's just a copypasta.
Suggesting something of this caliber is fake though. It's extremely unlikely.
Though one thing we did learn from the Wii schematics is that "Bollywood" was the name of a cost reduced Hollywood chip.
The piracy debate really should have nothing to do with this. Emulators aren't illegal and this just updates the SNES's affine texture mapping to display in higher resolutions (higher, and better than the old ZSNES implementation). You should be able to have an article about emulators without 30 comments arguing about it.
This does wonders for F-Zero. My jaw dropped when I could see the little moving white dots representing cars on the roads in the first track's background.
Correct me if I'm wrong. But a Ruby interpreter wouldn't be able to gain access to anything that'd allow unsigned code to run on the switch. This easter egg doesn't seem to be much more than a sandbox. It'd be like trying to hack your PC with redstone in Minecraft...

@westman98 It seems they just may not have been equipped going by screens from the UK page. https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Games/Nintendo-Switch/Paper-Mario-The-Origami-King-1782440.html?red_source=papermario.nintendo.co.uk#Gameplay
