@Kalmaro You don't see a problem with introducing a new mechanic that is so unbalanced, Nintendo immediately bans a portion of them and Smogon bans the rest, before launch? Even setting aside the claims that D-max balance is the reason the full dex was not released (Which I totally believe. Yep.), this is an issue...
Dynamaxing is unbalanced, and would be moreso with a larger dex? What a revelation! Seriously, the problem isn't the number of pokemon - it's that nobody bothered to balance the new mechanics. Nintendo has banned the use of G-max from their own system, and Smogon has gone a step further in banning Dynamax as a whole, because it was a poorly thought out idea meant to pull in the Go crowd. I'd much prefer a game without a gimmick, or with one that I can at least play with. Why spend hundreds of hours farming a shiny G-max pokemon I can't have in my party?
