Has anyone else noticed that when you run out of lives you retain your progress? You don't get booted back to the start of the world. So lives are still meaningless
Thank you for the kind comments! It's nice to know that the Internet isn't totally overcome with nasty folk!
Regarding the button choices....well the game was made for use with a European SNES controller for that authentic feel (not that my fiencee cares about that!), which is why those colours have been used. The reason that I choose "B" to be "yes" is that I used "B" for jumping in the game, and it seemed vaguely logical for the same button to be used for a confirmation.
As for the Game Over screen, I was extremely pushed for time so had to economise with the number of assets I was creating, so I chose to have a generic screen to signify the end of the game, regardless of whether a yes or no was chosen. I figured that the cutscene at the end was enough of an ending. In hindsight this may not have been the best decision!
I wish the video showed the smoothness of the gameplay, which is something I was rather pleased with. I haven't quite mastered screen capturing!

@GTWarrior77 Ah I didn't spot the position indicator! That's encouraging

Will there be other cars to race against? It looks pretty but seems a bit empty with just one car.
