This is quite the paradox. The fact that OoT making this hall of fame is newsworthy speaks to the absurdity that this hall of fame hadn't included it in the first place, yet it's so absurd that it begs the question why anything related to this hall of fame is newsworthy at all.
I share Arlo's skepticism about the man who's filmmaking philosophy is to make sure things are as cheap as possible, but if he's got Miyamoto's respect I guess there's more to him than that.
@Classic603 Sorry I realize you weren't asking me but one that springs to my mind would have to be the Avatar series. The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra walk that line perfectly, where absolutely any age can watch and enjoy.
I wish I could elevate my standards beyond those of videogamedunkey so I could appreciate this kind of art, but at the same time platformers go woosh y'know?
@Ghostchip Crazy to think because Splatoon 2 was already a major step up in battle intensity compared to Splatoon 1. If Splatoon 3 has even faster gameplay it's going to be quite extreme.
Arlo is jinxing it again!! He needs to say "no BotW 2 news. I'm staking my entire reputation on the fact that there will be NO BotW 2 news." Then we'll see BotW 2.
@IronMan30 Well I should hope they announce existing games! Sorry, just being obnoxious I know what you mean. Genuine counterargument tho: they can totally talk about games we don't know about. All we know is they'll feature Smash news and info about games releasing in the first half of 2021. I, for one, am optimistic there are games releasing in the first half of 2021 we don't know about.
@iLikeUrAttitude That could be true, but keep in mind Nintendo's strategy of late: Only revealing games just months before release. Yes, Bayonetta 3 had already been announced, but just barely. If it's really up to Nintendo, maybe there's a chance they pull a Super Mario Maker 2 or an Origami King or a Pikmin 3 Deluxe or an Age of Calamity.
I'm optimistic. I didn't even find the Paul W. S. Anderson things too offensive because at the end of the day, it's just Resident Evil. The goal is to tell a fun story with spooky beats, so as long as it delivers that I'll be satisfied.
@MasterJay In my opinion, Pikmin 4 and Prime 4 are far riskier predictions. If they do end up airing it the day after they announce it though, that'd be pretty dope.

Re: Talking Point: Would You Mind If Nintendo Retired The 'Big' Nintendo Direct Format?
I think we need to remember that we're the consumers... Just about every con is a con for Nintendo, not us.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #81 - The Legend Of Zelda: Spirit Tracks
I bet they thought us Americans wouldn't want to buy a game with a kiddy train on the cover or something. Man, Nakey Jakey had it dead on.

Re: Splatoon 3: First Gameplay Mechanics, Weapons, And 'Splatlands' Lore Details Revealed
@Ghostchip I only mean that the arenas in 2 are generally tighter and so combat takes a greater focus for all players.
