Re: Talking Point: How's Your Switch Holding Up After 5 Years?

Zenchuk

I still have a switch from 2017. The OG version. I’ve probably put in 400 - 500 hours in it. Maybe more. It still is in good conduction. I’ve sent all 4 of my joy-cons in at least once to get repaired so far.

With all of the games on my wish list and library I have yet to complete, I can probably keep myself occupied for many years to come.

I’m just about at the point of retiring my switch for good. Besides Mario party which my Wife loves, I don’t find myself playing Nintendo exclusives.

I have a few, Donkey Kong, Mario Tennis, Super smash Bros, etc… I’ve played them a little bit, but ultimately find then a little shallow.

I like adult games with more of a plot line. It draws me in more. That’s what I find myself playing on the switch.

With the steam deck coming out… I’ll get those games in the portable mode I want and can enjoy them at much better performance.

I also don’t want to risk losing them when the new Nintendo Hardware comes out.
