Zelda II: The Adventure of Link was my first experience with Zelda. We got it Christmas 1988 when I was 5 years old, the game was pretty overwhelming for me at first but I was patient and kept playing over and over again, making more progress incrementally. Remember, this was before the internet, so I only got guidance on how to play through magazines like Nintendo Power. I remember beating Death Mountain for the first time and unlocking the next portion of the map with the hammer, it felt so amazing! Next Christmas I got Zelda 1 on NES and loved that game too. I’m in my 40s now but a Zelda gamer for life.
@bonham2 Yes! Zelda 2 was my first Zelda game, too! I was patient and loved that game (still do!). I played Zelda 1 next and loved that game too. When LTTP came out I was hooked on the series for life!
Upset they want a full $59.99 for this game when there isn't much changed from the Wii U version currently at $19.99. It should be at $39.99 in my opinion.

I'll buy it for the nostalgia factor but I still want a Virtual Console!
