I won't attempt to argue. Those writers are absolutely correct. If only this gimmicky, only-as-capable-as-the-competitors-last-gen-consoles, energy sipping Wii U POS could magically play previous generation games and had an online service that allowed for the purchase of older titles to meet the desires of these pillars of the writing community. Ho-hum. Maybe the next console.
I always wondered if there was a direct connection with that mini game in Rabbid's T.V. Party and Just Dance. Both games are fun. Rabbid's makes us laugh and Just Dance makes us sweat. I just wish DLC songs were cheaper.
" It became a kids IP platform and we don't really make games for kids" That's a shame. Boom Blox and Nerf-N-Strike are some of our favorite kids game on Wii. Would have enjoyed some follow-ups. "Thank you" to EA for making Activision and Ubisoft look more supportive of Wii U.
I hope Nintendo can get more third party support for their sake. I think the Wii U cycle will be like the cycle Wii had for me. I bought it about two years in to the cycle. Great first and third party games were out. Most third party games that were great were also cheap. Core Nintendo franchises were well represented with new features/ideas. I have a PS3 and I'm not interested in a PS4 or One at all. A lot of those great, can-only-be-done-on-this-type-of-awesome-hardware games like Skyrim don't sound so awesome to me with all those reported glitches, so why would I want a PS4 if PS3 games are still buggy?
At this point, the only thing keeping from Wii U is cost. PS4 would have been a consideration, but my PS3 is more capable at being an all-in-one media center than the PS4. MS screwed ALL gamers by knowingly releasing a console that wasn't reliable. They can prove themselves to me with the One in about two years if doesn't RRoD. I've reserved myself to the idea that this gen of consoles will not give me an all-in-one console.
This is high on my list of games to get once I have a Wii U. I have the original on Gamecube and the Wii version as well. Great combination of gameplay, sound, and animation.
Funny timing. I just read an article at Huffingtonpost from a guy complaining about xBox1 not doing anything xBox360 is capable of, like streaming music and looking at pics. His sole reason for not returning it is Battlefield 4. He wrote that even though the voice chat is off and the game seems to crash every hour he loves playing Battlefield. In essence, he paid at least $500(U.S.) to play one game. Some people are making the same argument for Bayonetta 2. Just buy the system to play that game. I just don't see spending that kind of money for one or even a few games. I want a Wii U, but not for Bayonetta. The Nintendo first party games are there, but not third party. I really liked some of the Wii exclusives like Madworld, Zack & Wikki, and Boom Bloxs. I still think of No More Heroes as a Wii/Nintendo franchise. I can understand the producer's frustration. I feel it, too.
I think because Nintendo has been chastised for peripherals that were optional in the past they wanted to handle the GamePad differently. You can't deny the balance board is a sales success, but it's only used by a handful of games. WiiSpeak is a joke and the headset isn't capitalized on at all. Even WiiMotion+ is an option, not a requirement. If WiiU was offered at a lower price without a GamePad or could play bluray/ dvd, I'd have one already. I truly believe WiiU is just WiiHD, but I'm fine with that. I have never played a game because the graphics were amazing. Gameplay is the key and, to me, no one does it better than Nintendo.
It makes sense that if you wanted to play all the best titles you would need every system. I don't need to play every single "best" game released. I have a PS3/Wii setup right now and it drives me crazy. I'm planning on Wii U only for this gen. My family has way more fun playing Wii games than PS3 games. I mainly use the PS3 for me and as a bluray player/streaming device. As time goes on there are more and more games for me on Wii U and I stopped buying bluray discs almost a year ago. Wii U being HD means streaming is just as good as the PS3. I would have appreciated some Black Friday price drops on a console, though.
What was the last game Bethesda made for a Nintendo console? I seriously don't know. I played Fallout 3 on PS3 and had a great time. Skyrim comes out years later and the PS3 version is broken and DLC gets delayed! Way to know the console you're developing on. Am I supposed to believe that Bethesda or any other developer won't have the same results on the next from MS and Sony? I'm fine with the path Nintendo has chosen.
This game and a price drop/promo could cause me to get a Wii U. My son has been playing play-control Pikmen, we laugh together playing Rayman Legends, and my other son loves Viewtiful Joe. I can't seem to stay away from TLoZ:WW either. Some great games are coming.
I remember when Zelda II came out. I was amazed at the way the gameplay changed, but it was still a "Zelda" game to me. I think it is a great game. I always think of the change from Zelda I to Zelda II when people talk about the way Retro handled Metroid. For me, the Zelda series represents the pinnacle of evolving while keeping core components intact.
No DLC would be disappointing, but as long as the DLC wasn't additional story, not a deal breaker. I'm looking forward to a Wii U price drop/LE bundle once PS4 and Xbox1 release.

Re: Club Nintendo in North America to Remove Post-Play Survey Coins for Wii and DS Games
This won't convince me to drop $300 on a new console. I just won't play the 6 year old console that I currently own as much.
