I think this has one of the best cover arts of its era. So mysterous looking even though the game really isn't that creepy. Plus, I liked how all the old Hudson games were labled like "Over 3/4 Million Sold in Japan."
It's hard to believe that in 3 short years Sege went from Zaxxon (which is also awesome) to Space Harrier. They both sported the best pseudo 3d graphics of their era.
I'm guessing becuase the economy is sour. Let's be honest, only well known series are really going do well in this kind of enviroment where 500,000 jobs are being erased each month!
I just ordered a copy so perhaps the May figures will be slightly less depressing.
It's funny how "family friendly" America probably won't allow this, but it seems like most of our popular television shows are either people kicking in each other faces or crappy reality shows about "get rich fast" Octo-moms .
American TV reached its peak with The Twilight Zone, in my opinion.
I wasn't a big fan of this or Windwaker. Too much running around doing errands for other people. Also, they should of made the village people looke different from the village people from OoT.
I really want to play this after seeing it on Corbie's GB list. I vaguely remember this back then. Anyways, a light-hearted Castlevania game seems like a good thing. The word on the street is the NES version is even better.
1989-1990, where the most exciting years of home video games in my life. You had the GB, TG16, Genesis, Lynx, Konix Multisystem, FM Towns, Neo Geo, Super Famicom, Game Gear, and Super Grafx all making their big splashes in the issues of EGM and GamePro!
I bought Pokemon Red when it first came out after reading about it been a huge craze in Japan. Honestly,I didn't think it was going to repeat the success over here, but sure enough it did.
I'm with Corbie, I just was never that impressed by the game. Perhaps, if I played it as a kid I would of been more a fan. However, superior RPG games like Phantasy Star for the SMS just sort of eclipsed Pokemon in my book.
Even though, I come down hard on Pokemon, I am glad that it has helped make RPGs more mainstream. Who knows, I might try the GBA Pokemon game someday!
Corbie is Nintendo Life! This guy and his insights are just what this site needs. I like the fact he doesn't do just the obvious choices. Kid Dracula is just the kind of curve ball selection that lists like these need.
Personally, I would like to sing the praise of Quarth and Revenge of the Gator. Both are lost treasures, that the sands of time have buried.
Even though, I like Wario Land, I would of rather had SML 3 be more like SML 2. I agree that SML 2 is the high water mark for the system and a true follow-up sequel would of been awesome!!!
The first time I played it was 1998 on the Super Game Boy. I think the game is timeless. I will play it anytime, anywhere.
I was more of a Lynx fan in the early 90s. Although, I was pretty jealous of all of the addictive, puzzle games that came out for the GB around 1990. Qix, Quarth, Boxxle, and Tetris are all classics.
When I got my SNES with Super Mario All-Stars in 1995. I quickly bought a Super Game Boy to play Qix. I think I got Qix for $5.00 new at KB Toys. That was a deal!
This is still one of my favorite Mario games. And perhaps is the best game of the orginal black and white GB. The Super Mario World style graphics are amazing and the adventure is addictive.
This game is soooooo underrated. I would give it a 6 out of 10. It has a quirky, sense of humor and is fun, but hard on the later stages. The amount of secrets to be found is crazy. Plus, you have to admire any game that isn't afraid to be political in their character design.
I hope someday to play the orginal Japanese version.

Re: Review: Rainbow Islands: Towering Adventure! (WiiWare)
Why do so many Wiiware games disappoint?
Re: Review: Densetsu no Stafi 2 (Game Boy Advance)
So if you are like Superman, than 3DO must be your Kryptonite?!
Re: Review: Densetsu no Stafi 2 (Game Boy Advance)
Somtimes, I wonder how Corbie finds time to play every game under the sun.
Re: Review: Art Style: PiCTOBiTS (DSiWare)
This is the best puzzler on the DSi, but my favorite download is Paper Airplane Chase.
Re: Nintendo: The Game Boy Advance Is Alive And Well
I don't know why they don't still support it in the USA. It's a great system for little kids especially if they sold it for only like $50.00
Re: Nintendo Has No European ExciteBots Plans
I just got the game. I like the game, but I don't know if I like it more than Mario Kart Wii.
Re: Nintendo Download: 19 May 2009 (Japan)
I always thought it was ironic that Nintendo published the Irem classic in America for the arcade, but Sega had the home version.
Re: GoldenEye Designer Backs Virtual Console Release
I'm going to step up my attacks on Goldeneye.
Battletanx: Global Assault was always better than Goldeneye too!
Re: Don't Toss Those Old Controllers Yet
This is good news. I already have the NES and SNES Retroports, but I'm still jealous of the N64 option.
I'm with Corbie! We need TG16 and Genesis/ Atari ports too!!!

Perfect Dark was always better than Goldeneye!
Re: Rampant Speculation: What's Nintendo Showing Off?
New Super Mario Bros. 2!
Re: Nebulus
I'm so thankful this game finally came to shore. I love this game and the 64 version is probably the best version of it.

Re: Review: Excitebots: Trick Racing (Wii)
So is this better than Mario Kart Wii?
Re: Review: Nobunaga's Ambition (Virtual Console / Super Nintendo)
So what is the best Koei game?
Re: Review: Paper Plane (DSiWare)
This is the best DSi download so far. It's simple and not very flashy, but it keeps you coming back for more!
Re: Williams Pinball EU Release Date Confirmed for September
This is one of my favorite Wii games! Europe will love it too.

Re: Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins
I always felt the controls were a little loose on Mario Land 1. Also, it would of been nice to save the game.

Re: Starfy Finally Coming to North America!
Thanks Corbie for your input on its challenge level.
Re: Starfy Finally Coming to North America!
I hope this game is more on the Mario side of difficult than the Kirby side of difficult.
Re: Last Ninja 2: Back with a Vengeance
I can't wait for this to hit North America!!! All indications are that this series gets better with each sequel. That is rare.
