Re: DOOM Eternal Will Keep You Decimating Demons For Up To 22 Hours

@MsJubilee so again, you're basing this on games that have nothing to do with id software or doom eternal. Neither Bethesda or machine games are making this. You act as if Bethesda has never published great games before when they clearly have. Be smart enough to know the difference instead of assuming anything they publish will be trash even.

Bethesda publishes arcane studios, I'd software, tango gameworks, machine games, and Bethesda games. Only 2 of the 5 have made bad games yet you assume they all suck because of the name of the back of the box. Lol

That's nice but frankly I'm not at all interested in spending $60 I don't really enjoy that much. I'll never play it again on PS4 (even though it's one of the strongest examples of PS4 Pro truly improving a game vs PS4 OG) but wouldn't spend more than $20 for it on Switch. It's just very overrated IMO. too much padding in the main quests, and an obscene amount of content outside of it.

There is such a thing as too much. Plus, the combat is mediocre, and traversal is incredibly wonky. Great story and characters though.

As a massive fan of Mirror's Edge Catalyst and FPS platformers in general, I can't wait. Wish there were more games in this genre but somehow they're not that popular

Still blows my mind that Mirror's Edge and ME Catalyst sold so poorly. They're both absolutely brilliant fun, with a cool style. Especially Catalyst which is better in literally every way and is endlessly fun to play. the gameplay in both of those games is so damn good, and parkour is fun in general.

Also like Deadcore, which is a cheaper FPS Platformer indy, and can be brutally difficult but it's so fun and so addictive. It's similar to Trials games where it can be very tough, but the many checkpoints available instantly through a simple button press makes it so addictive to keep trying over and over again to get a section right. Love it.

@clvr Try to go back to it. I thought the pacing was poor in the first 4 levels but after that it was AMAZING.

I have faith that Eternal won't have boring levels like the first 4 in Doom 2016 but the supposed gameplay length does worry me a bit. 20 hours is super long for a game that isn't a boring game AKA open world/non-linear.

@MsJubilee Wow. Are you totally unaware of the fact that Bethesda isn't making this game? Do you not know the difference between a game publisher and a game developer??????

This is an iD software game, NOT bethesda and iD's track record as of late could not be better. Doom 2016 was a masterpiece.
