But I really, really don't see him being right about predicting the future. The game industry has fought and is still fighting through a long and hard battle, and unfortunately I don't see an end to it any time soon. Nintendo wants to keep innovating in order to set the bar for the industry, so be it. Cliff's words aren't even strong enough to stop them.
Well even a nagging flaw like this isn't going to hurt launch or even overall sales, as online gamers are still likely a small fraction of the game market in general. I kinda figured there'd be a redesign somewhere along the road anyway, as there has been for 3DS.
Capcom isn't even that fully aware of an ever-changing market and still uses words like "next gen" just because it's commonplace, plus MORE sequels? With the indie development scene getting more prominent I'm already really disliking big business strategies.
Alright, take a moment and look at this situation: any time a game is missing from a catalog for a new system, fans get angry, thereby supporting Reggie's statement of being insatiable even further.
Look, you want every game in the whole damn world buy all three consoles. Just don't come crying to me if want to cut yourself every time there's an iPad exclusive.
You're talking about a game that may as well do far better on Wii U eShop. Not just online, but remade entirely for modern standards.
But overall SSFIV's online was far more experimental than mandatory, as is the case with Wii Shop in general. Yet I'd say Capcom doesn't have any real business sense anyway as they only found the 3D on the 3DS to be more profitable than the system itself. When they'll finally settle into Wii U games, it'll be under new management as the current one are just being clueless about its potential not being profitable.
Hmm... remember that game Karnaaj Rally? You know the one which nobody played because like, the boxart totally sucked?
Well this game looks a lot like 3DS's verson of Karnaaj but with the added benefit of eShop so that there's no crappy boxart to worry about. Plus it looks fun and I hope it plays well too. XDD
Nothing lengthy to be said here, Wii Shop had faults, eShop improved, hence eShop delivered.
One thing I've learned about what's called quality assurance, (through dealing with customers in my job which is not video game related since this is not primarily a video game store I work at but a whole department store, but more with loading store merchandising and helping customers) is that you never can really satisfy everyone's needs, like finding the EXACT solution (product for customers) they're looking for, only be nice to them and provide the best service possible. I would guess the same applies between Nintendo and small developers as it also would customers, but on a far more technical scale.
But look, if you're going to have one guy every so often get all verbal with WiiWare limitations and decide to improve upon that for Wii U, that does not throw out any chance that Mr. Oster aka Batty McPants will still complain about the same thing or move on to something else to complain about. If you're like me with customers that's called being a rotten apple. Do whatever you will with the rotten apple, just be nice and politely rid of him, then onto the next person, just the way it works.
If you'd rather be like Batty McPants up here, however, you're totally missing the point of quality assurance.
sigh He didn't say 64 and Galaxy were bad games, they're just not suited for handhelds. He's only saying Mario 3D Land was made be suited more for a handheld, that's pretty much it. ._.
I've always liked Brownie Brown, but never LOVED them as they put out obscure uneven titles like A Kappa's Trail (mentioned above), Blue Dragon Plus, and Sword of Mana (really not anything like Secret of Mana), also some moderately cool ones like Magical Starsign. Quite possibly the only exception was Mother 3 and it never saw release here.
Still this could be a brand new start for the developer. It has some interesting pedigree after all (one of the many renegade Square talent studios out there and founded not only by Mana vets but Nintendo vets as well.)
Wii U eShop (I don't think it will be called WiiUWare b/c it's too ridiculous) sounds like a no-brainer, especially considering Wii U won't get Sonic Generations. On the other hand why not a completely new Sonic title for Wii U?
It's nothing a little system update can't handle, but gasp what in the world will this mean for game sales??? Oo
Only joking. However when compared to the global financial meltdown, fanboy panic attacks like this are nothing. I think whoever keeps making huge huge deals like this on the net should have their fingers bound and far away from their keyboards.
I have to disagree with your review James. LG3D is a fun and above average title. I would have given it an 8 myself.
For one thing. There are 6 courses but there are also many objectives to complete to unlock new outfits/characters. It's certainly not original having borrowed from Hot Shots and all. But unlike HS it can be played in short bursts, just like a handheld title should play.
Some play modes are indeed frustrating but you can skip them for now and then go back to those anytime.

Re: Rumour: Rockstar Won't Be Bringing WWE Or Grand Theft Auto To The Wii U
We don't need GTA on Wii U because: Retro City Rampage.
We don't need WWE on Wii U because: Smash Bros. And also Tekken TT2. Those are not only far more ridiculous but more stupidly fun as well.
Re: DuckTales: Remastered Focus Testing Reveals That Kids Don't Know Jack These Days
Kids these days. IT WAS A GOOD SHOW!! They don't know. They missed out.
(Hey you asked for it. )
Re: Shin Megami Tensei IV Coming To North American 3DS Consoles This Summer
Atlus does what Square Enix don't. XDD
Re: Retro City Rampage Has Only Sold a Quarter of the WiiWare Sales Threshold
@Lin1876
Eh, I say release a director's cut of RCR for the sake of extra profit, like others are already doing on Wii U. That'll show 'em.
Re: Pwnee Studios: Nintendo Has Been Great To Work With
Quite a number of positive indie feedback... enough to outrage any major game corporation... Oo;

Re: Picdun 2: Witch’s Curse Heading For Europe
@Djrr-ific Nope, it's 3DS eshop. The graphics look way too good for DSi so they must have made a typo or something. XP
Re: Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage 2 Is Download-Only In North America, Too
I really don't care about download only, I just hope the game is good.
Re: Renegade Kid's Upcoming FPS Will Focus On Single Player
If it's anything like Metroid Prime or Bioshock, I won't mind the lack of multi.
Re: Kojima Productions: We Aren't Thinking About Metal Gear Rising On Wii U
That's cause for them, the jury's still out on MGS4's inevitable Wii U port (MGS3 took an awful long time to even reach a Nintendo platform)
Re: New Super Mario Bros. U Director Explains Why Peach Isn't A Playable Character
In this case they need to include her in Mario Galaxy 3, with her own unique moveset akin to SSB Brawl. XD

Re: La-Mulana Stands Atop Download Charts Worldwide
I'm quite happy with the score... but must say La Mulana is rather tough... O_o;;
Re: Metroid Blast Joins Nintendo Land Roster
It's sure to impress Metroid fans, at least from a graphical perspective. Aside from the Mii heads it looks a lot like an HD Metroid Prime.

Re: Review: Slitherlink by Nikoli (3DS eShop)
These games are not worth owning by themselves. Best to put them in an eShop-related folder on the 3DS menu for when you've got nothing else to play.
Re: Let Camelot Know If You Want Another Golden Sun
Abso-friggin-lutely.
Re: Nintendo Download: 3rd May 2012 (North America)
Slow weeks like this perhaps point out Nintendo likes to warm up before delivering the best stuff possible. XD
