@Medic_alert button layout is actually very good and worked well with most 1st party games. Nintendo could have stuck with it when launching the pro controllers. Everything else is now dated, except for the concept of analog triggers.
I honestly don’t think a SS remaster would be a smart move to follow after the huge success of BOTW. Those are very different zelda titles, people who loved the open world feel of the later game will really dislike SS, which is probably the more linear game of the franchise. It might even drive away some new fans. That being said, SS does have much better dungeons and storytelling than BOTW, being one of the best games in that regard.
