I know the development environment is vastly different nowadays, but remember when MegaMan 2 was made in what was it, three months? And the SNES MegaMan 7 was made in six or something?
@LastFootnote I'm simply purchasing the physical editions for Switch 1. I'm sure the Switch 2 versions will be prettier overall, but I'm not buying any Game-Key card, ever. The visual downgrade is worth it to me if the content is the same. Long live Switch 1!
Hell, no. My OG "Splatoon 2" Switch 1 and I are going to be running steady for the next few years at least. I've got a backlog of games, most of which won't be getting free upgrades.
There's also the fact Switch 2 is overpriced and rather bland-looking means I'll likely wait for a price drop and/or some special editions with more colorful joy cons and maybe even a painted chassis. The Switch 2's look isn't really grabbing me. And $80 games? Fuggitaboutit.
I'm really hoping Switch 2 ends up in a 3DS scenario. Sales tanked after the launch and forced Nintendo to reprice the 3DS much more sanely, leading to mass adoption. Keeping my fingers crossed the Switch 2 winds up the same way.
Until then, my OG Tegra X1 and I are going strong.

I love Jeremy Parish and wish his videos got more well-deserved views, so I'm thrilled you posted a link to one of his videos.
