I wholeheartedly disagree with the author. In my opinion, it's essential for the Switch successor to have backwards compatibility. The switch is such an exceptional console with a massive amount of games and it would be a shame that these games will be limited only to the switch.
As many have mentioned, the Switch's successor not having backwards compatibility will deter me from buying it immediately.
All of them. Or like a cluster of a bunch of their classic ones including dormant IPs and then throw in a bunch of new IP as well.
Imagine Mario, Zelda, DK, Metroid, Fzero, StarFox, Smash, The usual party or sports games and new IPs at launch a "gamegasm?" lol. Something that everyone would be excited about.
All-Stars all the way, it was the first time I played them and it was also my second SNES Game, my father got it through the mail order promotion back in the day.
I used to have an INTEC Gamecube screen back in the day that I got from ToysR'Us, well two to be exact. I remember that it had a video cable that connected directly into to GameCube and also a port that you can connect a composite cable to it. After a couple of days the cable got messed up so I got a replacement and I guess that I got an older model and the picture quality wasn't as good as the first one so after a few days I also returned that one and just got store credit and bought a whole bunch of board games.
I think that the best starting point for a Zelda Game can be between OOT or Alttp, but I'm leaning towards OOT because it's gives you a great base in terms of the lore and story. I personally don't think Botw is a great game to start out with because it may create a false expectation that all Zelda games are like that, don't get me wrong, Botw is one of my favorite games but, that's just how I see it.
I was divided between getting it on the switch or the ps5, I ultimately decided on the ps5 just because I already have FF7 remake on the ps5 as well, just like @Slain
Ever since Pokemon Yellow I've consistently named two Pokemon, Pikachu (Puka, the name of the surfing Pikachu from the Anime lol) and Snorlax (Papi, cause it reminds of my dad)
Two so far, Virtual Console and Virtual Console Japanese (i know I know, they aren't called Virtual Console). Going to make ones maybe by franchise or genre, and folders for the games i haven't started and ones that i haven't finished.

Re: Random: Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom Glitch Lets You Play As Link For Even Longer
I think that this post should've been labeled as a potential spoiler for people that haven't been able to play the game yet.
I would've liked to be surprised in game 😅

Re: Poll: Have You Come First In F-Zero 99 Yet?
The only first I got was first to reach the start line. My best was 2nd place on a grand Prix, once.

That was part of the deal between Nintendo and Microsoft, they had to remove the iconic gong sound for the Nintendo release. 😞😞😞

Re: Best Metroid Games Of All Time
@John_Deacon I was thinking of the same thing, I don't think that a compilation should be on this type of list.
