It's kind of depressing that this game got a 5/10. I thought it was great! It had good graphics, good powers to copy, and the challenge of finding all of the shards led to a really cool ending...........<sigh>.............the super tuff pink puff deserves better than a 5/10. In my opinion, it is somewhere between 7/10 and 8/10.
Ahhh, what a nice game. It's the kind of game that you always remember for being just so darn cute. What I like about this game (and for that matter, the whole Kirby series) is the vast range of forms attacks Kirby can take by swallowing his enemies. My personal favorite in this game: Flying Saucer. My favorite Kirby weapon in general: The Hammer.
You know, back in the late 80's and early 90's, gamers were probably thinking, "Man, how can gaming EVER get better than this? How can Nintendo top themselves in gaming? How can they advance past the NES and the SNES?", then came the N64, and the Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Gamecube, Gameboy Advance, Gameboy Advance SP, DS, Wii, DS Lite, DSi, DSi XL, and now this, the 3DS, literal 3-D gaming on a handheld. A HANDHELD! We now think, "Okay, yeah, it was easy for them to advance past 8-bit graphics, but how in the world is it possible to top 3-D gaming on a handheld?! If they can get graphics of this quality on a handheld, imagine what king of graphics they can get on a console. What can they possibly do to top this handheld, 3-D breakthrough?" I am confident that Nintendo will find a way, because Nintendo has, is, and in the future will continue to find ways to break the very limits of gaming.
Look, I love Donkey Kong, but I could care less about a pouch to put a sinlge Wiimote in. I mean, you can't even use it while it's in the pouch! What I think looks nice is that figurine or the plush of Donkey Kong, NOT a banana pouch for a Wiimote that I'm gonna, what, carry with me and keep safe while I stroll about the town?
You want good art style? You got it. You want puzzles? You got it. You want creative gameplay? You got it. You want to be brought back to simpler times of elemental gods through the power of video games? Well, you're in luck, and do you know why? Because Lost Winds is the game with all of this. I love Lost Winds. Yee-haaaa!.........or something like that.
I cannot wite a comment that can express my feelings of pride and joy in this game, but I might as well give it a shot. This is the game you have to play before you die. Period.

Re: Kirby Super Star Ultra
You want a challenge? Try to beat "Helper to Hero" with all of the helpers. Still hungry? Beat "The True Arena" in under five minutes. No dessert.

Re: Features: Things We Miss About the 8-Bit Era
I belive the section about the Power Glove sums up everything we've known, know, and are ever going to know about that device.
