Re: Fire Emblem Engage Version 2.0.0 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

@UltimateOtaku91 I think overall 3 houses was the better of the two. I didnt really care for the transformation stuff, or the more light hearted approach. The graphics were better, and alot of the gameplay was more polished.
But the characters, story, VA, multiple routes, time skip, and replay value from NG renown as well as a MUCH better skill set up in customization means 3 houses is, when all is taken into account, a far superior work of art.

I'm having fun with it. But the dialing back of a deeper, branching story, lack of NG plus, and lack of social elements kinda bugs me as Three Houses is my favorite all time game (and as a gamer since the 90s, thats a pretty high bar).

I hope the next entry steers back to all the above (and I hope a patch adds NG here). Fire Emblem doesnt need to be watered down, but expanded upon. And while this one truly is a worthy add to the series, I hope Nintendo doesnt make the mistake so many other developers do- Trying to please everyone and ending up pleasing no one. This franchise is the king of SRPGs and its not even close. And they have shown they have what it takes to keep it that way. Lets hope that doesnt change!

Re: Camelot Software Boss Is Keen To Make Shining Force IV A Reality

With the rise in popularity of Tactical RPGs, and the massive success of the Fire Emblem three houses, it would be foolish and wasteful for this NOT to happen. Games like Shining Force, classic Phantasy Star, Dark Wizard, and other cult classics of the genre should be revived before a rival console does so....ESPECIALLY Shining Force, which has a massive baked in fan base already waiting (not to mention the younger fans whom are really getting into TRPGS.
