@Robio: After you beat the "Tales" the game says something along the lines that all the items you've found in each chapter, and your character stats will be transferred over to the last chapter. I'm pretty sure that these "tales" are optional, but it sounds like everybody will be together in the final section.
@Objection: Again, it's not that bad of a price for a new game (compared to what is being charged for a re-emulated SNES game on the DS). It's expensive compared to most WiiWare games, but of the WiiWare games I've downloaded so far, none of them have given me 30+ hours of game play either, which it appears is what you'll have if you get the two main games plus all the "tales" (and the bonus dungeon at the end of each tale).
I seem to notice that the only people complaining about the price are those who aren't that interested in the game anyway. I think it's a fair price (cheaper than buying an emulation of FFIV on the DS with no new content). I've played through the first part of the main quest, and the Rydia quest, and I'm having an old-school blast. Plus the "challenge dungeon" at the end of each chapter is a fun add-on. Also, has anybody else beaten the any of the chapters yet? The credits are like 45min long. Did every single person in Japan help develop this game?
@kbdlock: I've had those problems too. I don't think it's a problem with the emulation, just poor programming. The controls lag just a little, but you are frantically pushing buttons to attack before the enemy. I've ended up attacking my own party a couple of times, and outside of battle I've skipped a few blocks of text due to strange pauses between texts.
So far the game seems pretty good. It'll be worth $37 if it's as long (or longer) than the original. Couple of hours in, and all the dungeons are new and though the monsters are the same they use new attack patterns and the combat system is better.
@earl_wickrue: Problem with FF X-2 was all the maps were the same as in FFX... and you had to do the same maps over and over again to unlock everything. The new combat system was alright (and the humor was good), but the game was a straight rehash of FFX.
Played a couple of hours of FF4/AY, and so far it seems pretty good. $37 won't be too bad if it 24+ hours of game play like the original. Really helps to have played FF4 already.
I could never get into this game either. I bought it when it first came out, and I don't think I was ever able to finish it. The story bored me (ruining the RPG element), and the slow combat and poor AI was not that exciting (ruining the action element). I always wanted to like this game (tried every couple years to play it again), but I could never stick it out... and I loved the GB version!
I remember playing this game in the arcade... oh the money I use to dump into this game... and only because the SF2 and MK machines were always full. It actually turned out to be the best of the three in my opinion.
This is one of the few VC games I've purchased, and it was well worth it! It's simple to play, and makes for a great two player game (or fun to pass around at parties). I'd give it 4 stars.

Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii)
This game was over-rated IMO. It was still fun, but I didn't have as much fun as Zelda games on older systems. I would have given it a 7 or 8.
Re: Review: Ghostbusters: The Video Game (Wii)
All the reviews I've read said the game is rather short. Maybe I'll rent or borrow this one. Sounds like a must play though.
Re: Review: Altered Beast (Virtual Console / Virtual Console Arcade)
I had the Tiger hand held version of this game. That should be released on VC as well!
Re: 5 Spots Party Coming to WiiWare
I play this game all the time at the bar after a few drinks! Wonder if it'll have a naked lady mode too!
Re: Street Fighter II's Bonus Stage: Live Action Spectacular
Wow. That guy could probably tear through some barrels too!
Re: Metroid: Other M - Will Samus Get Sexy?
I agree with comment 48, which agrees with comment 8.
Also think they should sex up Mother Brain. I like an older woman with some smarts (and exposed brain matter).

Re: Namco's Muscle March Possibly Most Bizarre WiiWare Game Yet
It's sick, it's disgusting, it scares me... and I must own it!
Re: East Meets West In Red Steel 2
Would you use two Wiimotes at the same time? One for the gun and one for the sword? That would be sweet!
Re: Final Fantasy IV: The After Years Official Website Goes Live
I don't know if this game will wow any new fans, but I think it's a great nod to us old school gamers. I'll be picking it up!

@SuperMario
Depends on how many drinks you've had.
