Re: Talking Point: Time to Adjust Nintendo Direct Expectations

@Rapadash6 Gonna have to agree with you here 100%. As much as NSMBU was a "launch title", let's be honest here, and yes, Twilight Princess was more a port than an actual launch title, but I'd prefer that than what is offered on the table right now from Nintendo. And Gamecube AT LEAST followed up the launch with Melee which was about 1 month following launch. Excuse me here, but what do we have "promised" so far? Pikmin in probably summer of 2013?? Not ok.

Frankly, the third party support better be relishing in this limelight it has now. Lego city looks...ok. Not really my thing, but to at least have something worth playing on THIS system for its capabilities, I'm not sure where else to look. And yes, Nintendo Land was cool too, but how many times can we really play all these mini games?

Re: Aonuma: "We'll See" About Zelda Voice Acting

It's actually a fun idea to think of - the game has evolved in a lot of different ways, and this can be one more step in it's evolution. Albeit, a very risky step. The way I see it, and maybe it's just silly, but why can't it be an option? If you hate it that much, or the acting is just that awful, or you enjoy the dialogue in it's traditional form, simply turn it to text only. Either way though, Link should never have his own audio dialogue with other characters. Honestly though, I think everybody wins with this implementation. And you have to think, not everyone is going to love what Nintendo does with every Zelda game. But, I think it's always good to see Nintendo try some new things with their beloved franchises. Who would've thought having the Nintendo universes fight one another would have been such a hit? (Smash Bros.) Maybe later down the road, we'll say the same thing about this kind of element added to the Zelda series.

Re: Nintendo Doesn't Want a 3DS Price Situation on Wii U

The problem they're facing is that they're releasing (finally) an HD system where the market is already saturated in HD gaming and everything else for that matter. The selling point has to be the controller and decent titles that will invoke a purchase of a "U"nique console. Whatever the price may be, what will this system bring to the table that the current HD consoles don't already have? And that's the scary part, because it's just like how the Wii was promoting sales - through innovative controls, which is precisely what this console is moving towards. And I don't know about all of you guys, but I don't really want another 5 years or so of another Wii. This system has to promise to be functional, fun, and cater to everybody who wants to play it. And that does NOT mean casual.

I say $300 is pretty safe. $400 and above seems a bit high for any Nintendo console. Doesn't seem to be their forte IMO. I think it all depends on how much one of those controllers will end up costing.

Oh, and let's also not forget LAUNCH TITLES. The 3DS had a good lacking of that as well, besides it's high price.
