Hi, Mauro from MixedBag here! We handled the porting and publishing of Wheels of Aurelia on console.
About the port: this version is 100% on par with the PS4 one visually (720p handheld / 1080p docked), but we had to cut the frame rate from 60fps to 30fps. The game is running at a stable 30fps with only some very minor hiccups.
I know the game may look simple but it's actually quite heavy to run, there was no way for us to bring it up to 60fps on Switch without rewriting it from scratch, and since it's not a performance critical game it didn't really made sense.
@JustinH funny thing is we announced that forma.8 was coming to Wii U the same day Affordable Space Adventures was announced!! It was a surprise, but while both games have a lot of things in common, from what I've seen they play very differently. They're both scheduled for the end of the year, but we're not really concerned... I mean, great games are great games, no? I think there's a market for all of them. BTW, love Affordable Space Adventures, can't wait to play it!
On Futuridium, we love all the attention the game is receiving! But for now I can only say that the Deluxe version is a PS4/PSVita exclusive...
@Cyberbotv2 it's difficult to say, we're aiming for a 5-6 hours of gameplay, but it can take a lot more if you want to discover all the secrets. Single difficulty level, but we are throwing around some ideas for an eventual second run...
@Dark-Link73 yes, it can take a lot of time! We started working on forma.8 in 2011, and it's a very big project for a small time like us. Also we've worked in the meantime on Futuridium as our 'smaller' game. We don't want to rush forma.8: we prefer to have it ready a little later but to have the time to make it as 'perfect' (for us!) as possible. For indie teams, like us, the quality of the work is everything: we don't have huge marketing budget to sell a game, quality is the first priority.
@LittleIrves thanks. We try to be present on forums and websites, it's not always possibile but it's great to be able to directly chat with players and receive feedbacks! Crepi il lupo!
@sinalefa hi, I'm one of the two developer of the game.
The incredible thing is we re-announced forma.8 (and announced it for Wii U) the exact same day of Affordable Space Adventures! Both we and I think Nifflas/KnapNok weren't expecting it, we didn't know of each other game.
Things that happens in game development.
We started developing forma.8 in 2011 and we first announced and showed a playable demo at E3 2012 as an iOS exclusive.
Hi everyone! Thanks for the kind word about our games. I'm not surprised a lot of italians haven't heard about us, we are an extremely small (two person!) indie studio, and we opened just a year ago. We are extremely excited about the Wii U announcement, can't wait to see how it's received!

@NImH nothing decided for now, but we're always looking on how we can implement platform specific features in our games.
