What makes you believe the complainers think they are in a majority? It's the same old here. There are die-hard nintendo fan(boys) who will buy and defend anything. The core pokemon players are upset. why not let them be? You make it sound like they are the worst of the worst!
I think it's the pokemon which people get most excited about and they have let this part down a little. Look, I couldn't care less tbh, I am gonna buy this game anyway (at some point) but I understand the core fans here. They just needed to bring already existing pokemon into the new generations, that's all.
I am not a huge Pokemon fan but appreciate the franchise. Imo this is all pretty lazy on GameFreak's part. They have created a massive IP and now they want to water down. Less work - same income? Sounds like good business. No wonder fans are upset.
I owned this game back in the day when I had my x360. I think I bought it for like 10-15 EUR sealed and sold it for 5 EUR and that was like 5 years ago.
Been waiting on a discount for the season pass for quite some time - given the fact that the gold edition wasn't much more expensive I didn't want to pay full price. Wonder if there is ever gonna be a sequel, I am sure it would sell.

@Kalmaro I think it's about image. Microtransactions are often predatory and nintendo wants a clean, family friendly image.
