Open up smash bros to paid DLC. Sell Banjo and Kazooie for $2. Allow Crash in the game if you own the trilogy. Do the same for some Kirby side characters. Make the roster dependent on Amiibo, DLC, User library. Do timed events for stages, Themed stages appear during certain months for limited time only. Follow in the footsteps of Splatoon and keep updating and changing things up. Give out medels for people who participate in timed events. Voice chat during matches so we can hear people get KO'ed
Keep the freedom but remove the climbing mechanic for the next game. Figure out different ways of giving the player freedom. Kind of like Mario Oddysee where players can get to every corner of the map if they are skilled enough. Use equipment or something. Also adding more variety of enemies, regional or something.
I would like to see segments of open world with no climbing and more tools to get to odd areas. So like the same amount of freedom but you have to do it with equipment rather than just climbing and hang gliding. Maybe implement a monster taming system for fun side quests.
If you look at the map as a whole it is the bottom right corner of the Triforce. Nintendo's DLC is the first in 2 where it unveils a total map 3x larger then the current one.
