@Ristar24 Exactly, the console is just too expensive for what it is.
I only use my Switch handheld and have a small selection of games (Balatro; Easy Golf; Crimson Clover), so before the reveal, I wasn't sure upgrading would be worth it, and it isn't. Even if I had more premium games, I still don't feel the upgrade is worth it.
If you're excited about the new chat and camera features then this is great news, but from a 'sit down just to play a game point of view', I personally don't think the experience of having a Switch 2 will be that different from a Switch 1.
@Spider-Kev I'm pretty sure they refer to Astro Playroom on the PS5. I never played it either, but it was FREE with the console and acted like a tech demo, that utilised all the controller features.
Yeah, I don't get this... It might only be £4.65, but why feel the need to charge for it, when they're already charging the extortionate prices of £60-£80 for the games? I just can't justify paying that much for games anymore... and to be honest, even before I discovered the pricing, the Direct didn't make me feel that I should be upgrading my Switch anytime soon.
I'm also a bit of a recluse when it comes to my gaming time really, so all these new chat and camera features don't really appeal to me.
I'm really only playing 2 or 3 games at the moment on my switch, so the reveal didn't make me feel that I need to upgrade immediately. I'd like to see what the specs are first too.

@YoshiTails Pardon my ignorance, it's an age thing... but is the word 'Slaps' a good or bad thing? 😁👍

Is this playable on the original Switch does anyone know?
I only see the SW2 version.
Edit: Sorry, just found it 😛
Re: New Ridge Racer & Unreleased Retro Studios Project Crop Up In Leaked Switch Dev Kit
@Kidfunkadelic83 I love a good arcade racer, and Rage Racer was one of them.
Re: Random: Did You Notice This Snazzy Switch 2 Reference In The Devs' Direct Outfits?
@Skunkfish I did get that, still dull though
Re: Random: Did You Notice This Snazzy Switch 2 Reference In The Devs' Direct Outfits?
Cool, but those presenters were as dull as dishwater to be honest... it was all a bit wooden and very scripted in my opinion.

Even Nintendo Life has put out a video on youtube, surprised by the pricing.

@Jacket_p Yeah, but you're not buying a pub to then buy the pint... 😏

Re: Robin Hood - Sherwood Builders
Ooh! I quite like the look of Sherwood Builders, one of those screenshots reminded me of Settlers from my amiga days.
Re: Brotato
Love this game, really addictive.
Re: Brotato
Just started playing this over the weekend and I'm addicted... 🤣 A lot of fun.

No Mario Maker news... quite disappointed about that.
