An interesting take on Streetpass. I have two young kids and I can definitely see your point about it being a 'friendlier' way of social networking, it is quite a compelling activity. The only thing I would say is when they're older, and could take their 3DSs by themselves, whether I could trust them to not lose the things. Account system please Nintendo!
They need to advertise the fact that Wii Sports Club will basically be preinstalled on your Wii U (via Spotpass). They need to advertise the Wii Fit U trial. Make sure the retailers are stocking the new bundles. Both my local Sainsburys and Game are just displaying a battered onld Nintendoland Premium pack- nothing else! When the new bundles come in, put stickers on all of them emphasising Wii Sports Club. The Wii u is a great machine but is being marketed very badly.
Yes people, I have actually tried it out, and I can tell you....it was actually quite fun for about 15 minutes! I zoomed to Albuquerque, NM where I spent a long hot summer 20 years ago and 'walked' around my old haunts. Well, I say 'walked', I kind of mean plodded on the spot. It was defintiely more immersive than the normal software and could be a good feature for Wii Fit if the locations were properly modelled in 3D. One for the future methinks- but as an extra app, it can't really hurt.
Fingers crossed for a good Xmas- the £249 price point is bringing it into the realms of the fabled £179 for the original Wii. It would be a clever move to bundle a remote and nunchuk with it as well though...save any confusion about what contrallers can be used...
ALL AROUND!! I spent a great Easter holiday holed up in Duns, Berwick upon Tweed, playing Snowboard Kids. My brother, sisters, cousins and girlfriend were all in on the 4 player action! The graphics were a bit ropey, and the fat guy was a bit rubbish, but it was really good fun. Arguably better than Mariokart!
@ledreppe I would say it's got a lot better. For example Pikmin 3 is £39.99 on the E-Shop- if you buy the download code from Game.com it's £34.99- then there's the Nintendo Network Premium- it's looking a lot better than the £49.99 they are charging for Nintendoland!
I hope so...if they could have got MarioKart out for November and dropped the price of the Premium to £199, I think they would have had Xmas wrapped up. Still, I think they are in a better position now than they were 24 hours ago.
Would have bought FIFA 13 but for the fact it wasn't actually FIFA 13. If I was really that bothered, I could go out and get a second hand 360 for £75 and play it on that...
Got a nice surpise when my points total bumped up to over 7000- so ordered the SNES controller. There are a couple of complaints though- the surveys are really dull to complete and don't encourage you to complete them honestly. For example if you put down that other people in your family will play the game then you are asked more questions about them too- and I couldn't really be bothered going through the rigmoral. Also, the catologue is barren and needs a serious influx of new goodies. i would love to see the ability to turn my points into credit for E-Shop games...
I have bought the last two major 3DS releases as downloads- NSMB2 and Paper Mario. I really like the convenience of having everything there on the console. If the WiiU retail games were a bit cheaper (say £39.99) I would definitely go download-only on WiiU as well.

Re: Wii Fit U Retail Release Delayed a Week in Europe
Should have released early November anyway to capture the Xmas market. One week's dealy won't make any difference now...

Re: Reaction: Our Thoughts on Nintendo's 3DS Direct - 17th April
Really looking forward to playing Earthbound again- one of the best RPGs on a Nintendo system- on par with Link to the Past and Secret of Mana!

It would be interesting to get an idea of the game sales including the e-Shop downloads...

Re: Rumour: Scribblenauts Unlimited Was Recalled From European Retailers
I think there may be some substance to this rumour. My local CEX seems to be offering big money for this game (£45 from what I can remember...)
