I know that Monster Hunter simply isn’t my type of game, but I still really appreciate the fact that you put together articles like this, Nintendo Life. I’m sure a lot of gamers out there will find this useful and I am really looking forward to seeing what other games you touch upon in this new series of articles

I don’t know how the game runs on PS3 or 360, but it was simply awful on Wii U. I lost track of how many times the game crashed on me: sometimes during cutscenes, other times when I would simply be walking. The game was buggy and glitchy beyond belief and was obvious to me at least that it was a rush job to get the game out for the Wii U launch. With quality control like this it’s no wonder that THQ went belly-up.

After having mixed to awful experiences playing some of the other Wii U ports in recent months (Darksiders 2 being the worst offender) it’s amazing to see a game that looks this beautiful run so smoothly on Nintendo’s latest console. Makes me wonder what some of those other developers are doing wrong. My hat is off to you, Criterion; you put a lot of care into the Wii U version and it shows. I hope people support this game and that your efforts are rewarded.

I wanted to love the Wii original, however, I could not get over the terrible motion controls. Why the designers did not give players the option to use the classic controller is beyond me. Hopefully, the 3DS version will control just like the SNES originals. Really hopeful about this version

I really don’t understand where all the mixed word of mouth is coming from for this game. I played it to 100% completion and had a blast with it. Just because it’s not the same thing as all of the NES/SNES/GBA/DS games in the series does not mean it’s a bad game. The game tells an interesting story and the combat system is excellent.
