Re: Square Enix President Knows You Hate NFTs Because You "Play To Have Fun"

Neft

@TryToBeHopeful a digital item can't be scarce?

Go play RuneScape, a single blue party hat can be bought in game for like 100-200billion gold, you can then sell that blue party hat for a couple thousand dollars.

If NFTs have limited copies such as "1000" or "500" then only that many people in the gaming sphere can even use said item.

Think of it like this, you earn a cool mount in FFXIV turns out it's a super rare 1/10 NFT.

That item can now be taken to other games that support NFTs and people there will likely see it and crap their pants, then you get some rich kid with daddies wallet and you might end up with 10,000$ or more because "oo shiny I want" then 20 years later if it hasn't crashed and assuming the kid still has it, he re-sells it for more.

While it's essentially a created/fake scarcity, once it's set at X number it can't be changed, the item itself can be but not the link.

The issue here is that even after an NFT is sold the original owner/creator can still edit them and it could go from a cool mount to a rug.

Tbh.

I stopped using the switch after getting my PS4 and after my GF moved in, she's in her 65inch TV and I'm on my 55inch in different rooms gaming together.

I'll use my switch again once she has one, until then it's a display piece of conquered games

@TheAwesomeBowser only a complete idiot would use a "shady no name site" for time zone estimations, as long as you know your time zone you can figure it out on google... Let say your in Canberra act, Australia just an example.

1am Eastern Time in the us would be 3pm in Australia, that's a 14 hour time differential, and incase you use 24 hour that's 0100 US to 1500 Australia.

As of writing this funny enough it's 1am EST so subtract this posts age to see when it was made vs your time and simple maths you have your answer.

I'm assuming you're capable of this

@saintayu im not saying it never existed im saying the fact its complained about this badly means it was an actual issue not bad enough for a CAL but still worse than others.

The fact i didnt have it untill switch after 20years of gaming is saying something especially since it happened after about 600-800hours.

See where im going? Next time try to understand someone instead of assuming they are saying it didnt exist at all, i know things wear down overtime just the joycon lifespan in some cases is SIGNIFICANTLY smaller.

Re: Nintendo Will Reportedly Fix Joy-Con Drift For Free And Refund Customers Who Paid

@saintayu i had a ps2 for like... God idk how long 10 years? 12 years? Same controller and it never drifted, i have been gaming for like 20+ years now and didnt encounter drift untill switch.

Not even my old n64 or my gamecube had issues my sega had issues after awhile but thata because it had been used so much the buttons were wore out and basically caked into the controller

All in all this is a cop out trying to avoid bad PR and will appease the majority of the people.

By doing so boom return customers for switch light and switch pro

Re: Disney Tsum Tsum Festival Receiving A Themed Switch Bundle In Japan

@sanderev yes japan has anti-takeover laws that help prevent it but they also have lifetime employees on their boards that helps keep loyalty in the company.

So while their business modle might be based on ours for the framework it still largely differs in actual practice businesses are more cut throat here than in japan, however im not sure if this would protect Nintendo of North America, while the main facility may remain intact they may still try to take over whats essentially a sister or shell company.

Re: The Grip Clip Hopes To Make Your Switch More Comfortable However You Like To Play

Yea not a fan of anything thatll make the switch wider believe it or not the joycons arent the issue its how wide the damn switch actually is, its about 2x the size of the DS, i never had issues with any of nintendos consoles till this one i actually cant stand handheld mode if its not tabletop or docked i just flat out dont use it.

Also any grips you get wear down your slides faster, wondering why your brackets are bending or why it doesnt lock in place how it used to? Well if you use a grip and have a bit of a heavy grip issue yourself youll actually damage the system faster, its been known since launch thanks to several youtube videos that the screws in the bracket are stronger than the bracket as in the bracket will break off from the screw before the screw even budges or gets damaged

@Deltath the voucher system being good? If you dont buy games that are like 55$ or more its actually not a discount at all, yea it saves you 20 bucks, only good for a year and i recall reading about it only being sold till x date? Havent actually looked into it because i dont drop 100$ or more unless its for a new system usually.

Also you clearly arent a fan of the zelda series if you didn't know epona prior to botw it is infact one of the iconic characters be it a horse its still well known amongst those that have played the games other than majoras mask and botw.

As for the subscription its only there to cut back on micro transactions most likely as the proceeds probably go to server uptime, as far as the family pack goes, personally i have a single acc sub i pay about 3 bucks a month or 20$ a year for annual sub, considering in japan alone 8million units have been moved lets assume 70% of them have the service lets say 50% of that 70 has the family plan you claim is 4 bucks a year. So 5.6million half of that is family plan so 2.3million, thats 9.2million a year just from japan off of family plans.

So looking at it mathed out they most likely calculated for a large userbase and set it lower to generate more, since "oh just 5$".

My whole point amiibos are content that should be DLC or included with game at time of purchase you realize SSB has like 73 amiibos? If not more that unlocks characters to use.

So instead of it being dlc bundles or unlock through play its "buy this figurine" which conveniently costs more overall than the DLC believe a smash set runs about 650+ and thats on the cheap end

Re: Famitsu Shares New Screenshot Of The Battle System In Game Freak's Upcoming Switch RPG

@Deltath sacrificed profit? Cutting out core characters of the Zelda franchise like say Epona - Links horse and re-selling it for 20-50$ or however much it is when its actually in stock, only giving maybe 60% of the game and giving the other 40% in a 20$ DLC + other outfits that help in game in other amiibos + making it be a gacha roll and making you want to buy 2-3 of the same one because its a once a day roll.

Thats only 1 example but its pretty damn recent, im not against DLC or pre-order goods but i am against the rest, yea ill admit i have all 22 botw amiibos.

I never said they didnt want it ijs their screwing their customerbase a bit harder than the others while doing it, ill also admit when the upgraded switch releases ill likely buy it to or do a trade in.

Idk where your reading these comments but everything i find says otherwise

@penamiguel92 it was most likely a tech mock up of the hud just to kinda get the idea of it, devs do things like this on occasion so testers have an idea of whats going on, they also give feedback thats actually listened to and then they take that into account + the other devs opinions and maybe even the lead designer and flesh it out more untill they feel comfortable

Re: Famitsu Shares New Screenshot Of The Battle System In Game Freak's Upcoming Switch RPG

@UmbreonsPapa because they do.

I got the 100% meter on zelda without dlc soon as i bought it there were more korok locations more shrines etc... That basically doubled the games content getting to even 60 shrines without the DLC was a chore, theres also a few challenge shrines etc.. That are only available through it.

Maybe if you paid attention to content before/after buying dlc youd see it as well.

Hell if im not mistaken it adds 700 more koroks

Re: Famitsu Shares New Screenshot Of The Battle System In Game Freak's Upcoming Switch RPG

Nintendo has never cared about their fanbase so get used to it or boycott them, i don't really care.

That said, town kinda reminds me of another game you start out in a village with a sealed gate and arent allowed to leave then one night the gate gets broke down and monsters invade and you have to go to the tree in middle of town for a bracelet or something.

Towns premise could be interesting, the graphics are definitely in nintendicks style which is nice, also from the video it seems to be turn based like FFX but without a party, which is fine, at first i felt the game was cluttered from the screenshot but the 30 second video kinda cleared that up.

With all that said my main concern is content, nintendick loves nickel and diming us so im a little worried it might be 60$ for the game and 20$ or more for dlc + amiibos ranging from 10$-50$ a pop, granted the card sets are much cheaper.
