Re: Iwata Tells Shareholders "Core Gamers Will Accept Wii U"

NassaDane

HD graphics was not something needed for a "core" gamer. And if anyone thinks "Core" gamers are people who play CoD are just wrong. Those are nothing but Casual gamers. I go to talk to someone who plays CoD and I don't know their gaming background and they tell me they are "gamers". So I go on to ask them about Chrono Trigger and they say they have no idea and only play CoD. That is not a Gamer nor a Core Gamer. I need to say that again. CoD is for Casual gamers just like the Guitar Hero explosion from before. The only problem the Wii had is it didn't have any games period. There was a Hand ful of good games. Half the games I loved on the Wii were compilations games of older titles. I was a huge fan of the Gamecube and was hoping the Wii could be even better but it wasn't. The GC had so many huge hits and it had one of the biggest libraries of first party Nintendo titles. So HD graphics is not what will bring the hardcore gamers to the nintendo systems good games will.

Re: First Impressions: Kirby Wii

YeaahYaaa! Now this is what I'm talking about. As "zeeroid" said I also would like to of seen Dual-Powerups as it would seem Fusion attacks are always super cool. But this even with out that looks very amazing. Personally I've been very disappointed with the Wii's selection but this looks like something I would not regret buying.

Re: Looks Like That Red 3DS is Releasing in Japan

NassaDane

This is one of the things keeping me from buying a 3DS, just hope it comes to the West, or i might never get one. Also I was afraid of the Red 3DS having that terrible looking Black top screen. That completely defeats the purpose of having a Red one. Half the time you will be looking at Black! Just because it helps with the "3D", not for me, I want a Red 3DS that is Red. But it'll have to do.

Re: First Impressions: Super Mario 3D (3DS)

NassaDane

I am very pleased at the lack of Galaxy mentions in this article. Being one who couldn't stand that game this is great news. I hope this is Mario's way back to being a Truly Great game. I feel a positive anticipation for this game, i hope it doesn't disappoint again like Galaxy.

Re: Iwata: Wii Successor to "Offer New Ways to Play In the Home"

@85.thesignpainter
I just want a controller to play games like normal. I had fun with the Wii mote and it could be used in some neat ways but for the most part i just want to hold a controller with both hands and press buttons. I don't care about the Graphics on the Wii but they hardly ever even tried to make them decent. But most games had an over abundance of Ease which took away from it. I had fun with my Wii mostly to play Collection games of older games, playing Gamecube games, and a couple of great Wii games but that was it. The Gamecube had many masterpieces on it but the Wii, slim pickings. If they just go back to what made the SNES, N64 and GameCube so great then it will be all great, but with all this "New" ways of playing really scares me. Please don't take away my controller.

Re: Flipnote Memo Coming to 3DS eShop

NassaDane

I enjoyed it at the beggining of Flipnotes life where i was able to get to the top with actual good Flips but then it sort of went down hill and i just made Flips for myself and didn't really care about the comunity of it all.

Re: Iwata: Wii Successor to "Offer New Ways to Play In the Home"

NassaDane

that doesn't sound very good...I want to use a controller i don't want a bunch of other things that take away from the game. Look how the Wii turned out, i don't want another one of those. I have been a huge fan of Nintendo up to the Gamecube but they are going in a direction i don't think i can support. But Heck i'm still excited to see what it is!

Re: Japanese Virtual Console list - April 2011

NassaDane

Good a third chance to get another Chrono Trigger. I'm pretty satisfied with my SNES one and DS one. But I still will be happy for it to come to over here. Its sorta the best game ever right next to Orcarina of Time. They better sell it at a high price.

Re: Review: Pokémon Black and White (DS)

NassaDane

I did not expect a 9, i was expecting much lower. I've played it and felt it to be one of the lesser of the pokemon. I don't know if the language barrier would change the experience that much but i'll see soon when i play the english one. I have enjoyed pretty much every pokemon so far but this one just takes too many steps backwards to feel right. Sure I absolutely love all the newly added fresh pokemon but that doesn't help the gamplay has weakened since HGSS. Its not horrible just feels very lacking in gameplay area.

Re: Okamiden

NassaDane

I'm pretty sure its not made by the original makers so i'm not very interested in this. If clover came back to life and made this then i would be interested, but sadly...

Re: Feature: Nintendo Life 3DS FAQ

NassaDane

That stinks about the Black top screen thing. I never liked that on the DSs. Even though i had to have a Red DS i could never get the Black/Red ones. Because the screen part that was black was the most important part to be Red.

Re: Resident Evil

NassaDane

So much better than the newer games. And its actually scary. If it has the great camera angles like this one, its great.

Re: Super Mario Galaxy 2 up for BAFTA Game of the Year

NassaDane

If i voted i'd go for Heavy Rain. I never got the love for Galaxy (only played the first) Don't get me wrong, i've been playing Marios since a wee lad and really loved Sunshine but Galaxy just wasn't fun. But i would vote Galaxy over Black Oops easily since FPS are very boring game (All you do is controle a cross hair and press a button). A flawed Platformer is much better than a FPS, if you ask me. But Heavy Rain is just crazy. And Red Dead got boring pretty fast.

Re: Reggie Defends High Download, Retail Price Point
