It's not that Switch 2 can't handle Bethesda games, but Bethesda is definitely not the studio to optimize properly for S2. They couldn't even release a decent version of Skyrim (the latest update to the Skyrim S2 edition was a joke).
I’m tempted. I had one of these (it eventually broke) and have nostalgia for the device. VB Mario Tennis is my favorite tennis game of all time, and Wario Land is one of the best Nintendo games hardly anyone has played. Happy to hear it’s a near perfect replica.
I love these preservation collections. Would happily buy a snes Star Wars Trilogy collection, with cheats and rewind (and throw in Indiana Jones Greatest Adventures as a bonus) if it ever happens.
@Friendly “ Very plausible the devs are just after the negative press now and positive press when they release the different version which is most likely in the works.”
@Friendly "Nintendo also has terms of use for their system which lets them enforce strict content guidelines."
Not sure how that relates. You conflated censorship with comment moderation, which are two different things. As for Nintendo, they have allowed uncensored, R-rated games on their platform before. The issue is censorship in a game that isn't censored on other platforms, with no advance warning that the game would be compromised. As a result, Nintendo support is making an exception to their policy and offering refunds to anyone who requests one.
@Mgalens Normally you can only refund a pre-order up to 7 days before release, and after that it's locked in. They made an exception in this case due to the censorship not being made clear by the developer. I checked a reddit thread on this issue and it looks like they're refunding it for anyone who contacts support.
@Friendly "if you really need it, you can find nipples and genitals elsewhere on the internet."
That's not the point. Forced censorship is unacceptable in any form. This is a compromised game that doesn't match what has been released on other platforms, and it doesn't make sense given that Cyberpunk, which is much naughtier, didn't get censored.
Was able to get a refund through Nintendo support chat. It's not that I need the nudity/profanity, but I find forced censorship unacceptable in a game that has it on all other platforms.

@Elitepatriot @Pak-Man I always played mine on the kitchen bar so it was perfectly level and I didn't have to hunch over.

@mackers84 the RAM shortage is expected to last at least until 2028, thanks to greedy AI data centers.
Re: PSA: Dispatch's 'Visual Censorship' Settings Can't Be Removed On Switch
@Friendly Stop tagging me in this stuff. I never said it wasn’t on the developer. I disputed your absurd claim that the developer wants bad press.

Okay, now you’re just being ridiculous.

@NintndoNik Thanks for sharing that video. Good points all around (and I'm now subscribed to their channel).
Re: PSA: Dispatch's 'Visual Censorship' Settings Can't Be Removed On Switch
@Friendly Why would I "admit" to a generalized statement about the entire comments thread? I'll just speak for myself, thanks.
Re: PSA: Dispatch's 'Visual Censorship' Settings Can't Be Removed On Switch
@Friendly And yet Nintendo provided a refund. I'm not really angry with Nintendo. I am miffed at a developer for not being upfront about it.
As for not pre-ordering mature games, don't worry, that certainly won't happen again.

Re: PSA: Dispatch's 'Visual Censorship' Settings Can't Be Removed On Switch
@Friendly Having your comment moderated because you broke the terms of use you agreed to is not the same as censorship.

@Friendly Well, Nintendo support is taking the "overreaction" seriously and making an exception to their refund policy on this one.
