@Araquanid exactly this… trying to “fix” Myles would be as fruitful as rearranging the deckchairs on the Titanic.. the game is an absolute mess of game design and devoid of any original ideas .. to describe it as a Metroidvania would be a misnomer..there is no large interconnected map that you slowly explore and unlock with gated abilities.. there is a series of linear hallways in disparate parts of a map joined by an empty desert … it is an early naughties Halo-like, and it is extremely shallow…the art department were doing their job on this game but it’s hard to credit many others
I think what’s inferred here perhaps is that Nintendo played Silksong and thought “why the hell areney we making a Metroid like this? A genre we helped to create”
They are also finalising the draft for a one thousand page novel titled Air Riders: How It Works.. to be released next week .. hot on the heels of a documentary series titled Sakurai: Air Riders And Me that will follow a much anticipated live action movie titled Air Riders: Everything You Need to Know … shortly before the games official launch they are also set to announce the “Information on Kirby Air Riders” cinematic universe which will have recurring characters like Kirby and Sakurai talk extensively about how Kirby Air Riders came to be and how it will work
Playing Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound…. Excellent so far… sounds great, looks great, plays great, lets see how it evolves the gameplay and level design over a full play though
You make a great game by having great gameplay. You can augment that experience with story. I don’t think you write a great story and augment it with gameplay.. there’s better mediums than videogames to tell stories
