2-3 being in the top 10 cases must have been a troll, right? Universally agreed to be the least interesting case of the first trilogy. Same goes for Wendy Oldbag winning her category for sure.
I feel like Trials & Tribulations is the Empire Strikes Back of the franchise... but with good reason, it's flawless and captivating and constantly emotionally affecting in the way the other games only sometimes reach. My other favourites would be the first game and Dual Destinies, which I like a lot more than most people I think, the decharacterisation of the final villain is really unique and interesting in a game all about big characters. My least favourite of the core series is pretty easily Spirit of Justice, which except for the slight awkwardness of Phoenix and co toppling an entire developing country's government system, also relies too much on some very very dumb twists, which feel contrived in a way most Ace Attorney games somehow manage not to.
