@MeloMan it's another one of those BOTW things you either discovered or you didn't (like some NPCs being really offended if Link tries to talk to them 'naked').... but if you hit a Cucco it gets annoyed, if you hit it again you get warned, then I think it's the third hit it calls in an army of it's friends in a death swarm.
@Laxeybobby - It is stupidly confusing. You can't use digital ships if you're using the physical ship mount for the controllers. You need to unplug the controllers from that and then you can use digital stuff instead. which is far easier.
Much as I think sales are great, the problem with Switch Sales is that it's 40! 50! 60% off... the full retail price for games that are 2+ years old. You know what costs way way less than that after 2 years? Any game at all for any other platform.
Until they sort out the fact that Switch physical (and often digital) games never decrease in price it's very hard to justify buying any cross platform game if you have anther console.
He made some great games, but his trouble was, or rather, is, that always he hypes things too much.
I still think the best example of hype was Milo (hey who still remembers how Milo was going to revolutionise augmented reality with the Xbox Kinect?). Another concept that you know clearly wasn't anywhere near what he was promising (or demonstrating), hence why poor Milo is stuck on some dead HDD in a basement now.
It's such a shame as well, as the Fable games were great. They just never delivered on the hype in features that he promised beforehand e.g. "Touch is so important, so you can hold hands in Fable 3".... which ended up being a nothing mechanic.
I'd still love another Fable game though. Or Syndicate (although maybe this time try to actually make it a syndicate game, not a FPS "in the syndicate universe")....
Bubble Bobble was the game everyone remembers and loved (bring that to switch please). Puzzle Bobble was a two player breakout clone where you fired a harpoon at bubbles above you.
It's an amazing collection of games (and cheap working out at £2-£3 per game), but while it's great they've "heard feedback" sadly they clearly haven't as the main feedback is that Online is broken.
Weirdly it seems to be that 3 player games work perfectly with one other online player (rock solid), but the second a third connects it lags so badly (even for the host) that you can't do anything. Even the music (which you'd assume would all be local and not synced to the gameplay speed) lags. But on 2 player games if another player connects it lags immediately.
Such as shame as 3 player online Captain Commando would be great.
I must be missing something. 500 points = £5 anyway. Every single thing I've ever tried to buy off eShop asks if I want to use (any amount of) Gold Points to off-set the cost.... so when buying these is that option suddenly disabled? And instead you can only used fixed numbers of points? I don't see the point (pun intended).
This package took me by surprise, I'd seen that Double Dragon (one of my favourite old arcade games) was in the NES collection of NSO (although sadly having looked it's no-where near as good as the arcade version, in gameplay or graphics) which made me wonder if Final Fight / Captain Commando were available on Switch.
Seeing they not only were but were part of a package containing several more games I also loved it was a defo immediate purchase for me.
As others have said Single Player / Local Multi Player is amazing, same great gameplay from the original. Some people have said you can't change the border or some other things. You can do this through the - (minus) button on left controller (yeah, not an obvious thing to try), but that's also how you save / load states in games.
Online though is absolute garbage. You'll start a game and two player is good with no noticeable lag, but the moment player three connects it's unplayable, even the sound effects / music all go distorted (for the host of the session too). This really ruins the experience as it's likely most people will never have played these games with 3 or 4 players.... and online would have immediately given a large pool of people to play with.
