@Dragnoran @DockEllisD Given the video, I would say that the port quality is, at the very least, on par with the Vita versions. The PS4 versions were a bit cleaner in texture quality and detail but not by much; you could tell it was a Vita port pretty easily.
I personally believe that the majority of the PS4 versions were imported straight from the Vita build with very little modification, and if that's the case, there's no reason that the Switch version should have any significant quality differences.
I could be completely wrong of course, but I hope that's not the case.
I can understand that. He's not wrong - it really does have some rough edges (just watch the Game Grumps play through or Sonic Adventure DX on the Gamecube for some hilarious examples I.E: "I'M UP HERE NOW!!" and "How do people defend this?!?), and it would also be an excellent opportunity to let a younger development team learn design strategies from the 'golden age' of games.
@Wanjia Yeah, it's got some great stuff. Also, talk to Chamberlyne in your house and select the third option 'Bonus Stuff' (or something similar, I wasn't really paying very close attention) and claim all kinds of neat goodies.
Some include: tickets to make Navirou Armor for your Palico (from MH Stories), 'Baby Monster Journals', A bunch of high-level Armor Spheres including King and True Armor Spheres and 'Horns Coins' which are G-Rank Quest awards and can be exchanged for items.
This is a great guide, but I would've put a step after 'You've just booted the game up', and that's 'Download Your Free Stuff!'.
If you go to 'Download' from the primary menu, you can download unique Quests including the crossover-themed quests, a special high-level Palico from Capcom, a ton of free starter items, and special Titles, Poses, Backgrounds, and Pet Costumes. If you're a first-timer, then a Mega-Potion or an armor upgrade with an Armor Sphere could be the difference between success and failure.
@bluedogrulez It looks like a steel-book case, those are pretty popular with collectors due to their rarity and special designs. It could be an art book filled with concept art and developer interviews though, it's hard to tell when it's only on screen for 3 seconds.
@The__Goomba That's exactly what I did too! His play-through really helped me figure out how to tweak certain things to allow them to stay challenging, yet keep true to the original design that I had in mind.
I wanted to get a feel for how a complete novice would play my level, so I asked my mom to give it a shot. She didn't do very well, but liked it, and I realized that she plays completely differently than an expert or even a moderately experienced player would. I ended up tweaking some things based on the feedback I got from her.
I'm still really happy with the level that I made today, and I'm uploading it now. I hope the NL staff and users get to have fun with it. It's been rolling around in my mind since I was a kid!
Don't know what they changed from the server/network coding side, but the game's basically broken now. I've talked with over 7 other people (in person) who have been having this issue as well.
I could play for several hours before the 2.0.0 update and get disconnected maybe 3 times, now all I ever get is <The Connection is Unstable> and <Cannot Connect to Partner's Device>. I've spent the last 2 days troubleshooting the router, ISP and Wii U system, and nothing I've done has fixed this thing.
Until Nintendo get's it's $#!+ together, I'm completely unable to play Splatoon. This isn't any individual person's system or ISP connection or router; this is on Nintendo's side. They need to fix what they broke.
I love the StarFox brand; It was one of the cornerstone games that pushed myself and the rest of my family to purchase an N64 back in the day. I trust the NLife team and how they convey their playthroughs of games and demos and their E3 experiences. Splatoon was a dubious purchase for me when I saw it at E3 last year and now I'm playing it until 2:00 in the morning (against Japanese people who constantly kick my sorry butt, but still).
But I'm still not sold on StarFox: Zero until I get the opportunity to play it myself. That was the real deciding factor for my purchasing Splatoon; the Global Testfire Demo. I got to sit down and experience the game, how much fun it was and how the controls worked and within an hour I was totally hooked. If the controls are as natural after practice as your experiences testify to, I'll probably pick this one up on day one.
But I've got to know and experience what I'm getting into before I drop $60 on it, because from the videos and reviews I've seen from multiple places I'll be fighting my natural StarFox 64-honed control instincts the entire time I'm playing.
I would prefer if there was a quick-button option on the touch screen to turn off/on Gyro controls while you're playing through a level (didn't they have that in the 3DS version of SF64?). I can see how the Gyro would be very useful especially during the 'walker' stages, but for the traditional forward-scrolling stages, I would rather use the controls I've been used to since 1999.
Personally, I think Nintendo should have a demo version of SF:Z to download before it actually releases, similar to Splatoon's Global Testfire, so people can experience the game, get used to the controls and get excited for the full version when it drops on store shelves.
That's my two cents, anyways (Sorry for the wall of text).
The more I see of it the more I want three things from this title: A proper Single-Player Story mode (complete with Prime staples like scanning to add entries in a logbook), a Competitive Multiplayer mode (deathmatch, battle royale, whatever you want to call it), and for Blast Ball to be fun as hell.

Re: Review: New Super Lucky's Tale - The Perfect Tonic For Jaded Modern Gamers
Alright guys, I'm only gonna sing this song one more time.
'Ooooh, if it's supposed to be possessive, then it's just 'I-T-S', but if it's supposed to be a contraction then it's 'I-T-apostrophe-S!' Scallawag.'
Strong Bad Sings Grammar and Punctuation is the only reason that I remember that rule. Thank you Brothers Chaps.
