This E3 will hurt Nintendo. The E3 is bad but worse is the year ahead. Good selling console yet no third party and... no first party either. What are they doing? No 3ds at all. All focus should be on pumping masterpieces on Switch. Instead we get loads of fillers and a port. Perhaps is a lot of bad marketing and some games announced will deserve (e.g. deamon mecha stuff) but I doubt. Switch becoming a smartphone games hub?
@Freek if they have done it properly it will be very different on the bike since you have to drive it and perhaps can use the bow only on an unmounting jump. With the horse you can fight and it avoids stuff. Motorbike should be literally fun fast travel
I have been in Japan for the past two weeks, and have been here often. The reason why Xeno 2 is doing well here is simple, they are spending advertising dollars on it. I see ads on the tube and on TV at every hour and the game as retail space ( the switch has a lot of retail space in general). This is very different from the UK where I see only big PS4 publishers investing.
@thesilverbrick Just a quick thought from my wife who is Japanese. Basically for non catholic Japan sexualised characters do not carry the guilty weight and also, and this I can comprehend, for her the fact that those are games, fictional, characters changes it all. It's like all is allowed in manga or games contexts. They seem to be more playful and light about it. This is not a response to you but a detour.
Overall the characters art direction in this game is aweful but,... it is getting somewhat interesting. At least is not cliché and it might become cult overtime.
Played it at Hyper Japan in London. I was expecting something clunky and with average graphics but, the controls are quite amazing and easy to me. Consider that the last time I played Star Fox 64 was when it went out, I finished it at a friend house (couldn't afford my own...), so I didn't really feel like I was missing the old controls. Really a fun game and different. With respect to the graphics they seemed normal wii u graphics to me. I also have a PS4 and I am frankly not one of those who checks all the textures and frame rates though.
