Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom: Where Does It Fit In The Zelda Timeline?

Issac1070

They literally tell you which timeline you’re in in the first 10 minutes of the game. I guess SPOILERS for those who haven’t started the game yet.

The Imprisoning War only takes place in one timeline, and that’s the fallen hero timeline. So this would make BotW and TotK fall into that timeline. I personally feel that BotW can technically be what happens at the end of any of the three timelines, but with TotK specifically talking about The Imprisoning War, it has to fall into the Fallen Hero timeline. Honestly, now I’m hoping for a Zelda game that takes place during this time, because there is no Link, he is dead, so it’d be cool to see how they succeeded in sealing him away. Could be another warriors style game if they wanted.

Re: Nintendo Switch Is Not "Technically Capable" Of Running Call Of Duty Games, Says CMA

Issac1070

@Wheatly that’s probably why Capcom created a Switch specific version of the RE engine. Monster Hunter Rise uses it on Switch. All it takes is some engineers to make a customer engine for the hardware and use it to release Switch specific versions on CoD. However, by the time that would happen, the Switch successor would probably be coming out, so if it’s specs are still not close to ps5/Xbox series of consoles, then do the custom engine on that new Nintendo console. Keeping in mind the current Switch runs Doom, Doom Eternal and Wolfenstein 2 at a near perfect 30fps and the games still look graphically pleasing(at least to me they do) and I guess also it runs The Witcher 3. I think the best way to get a CoD game on Switch would be to either port a series of older games(original MW trilogy or the Blops trilogy) or make a custom engine for a new one.

Re: Doug Bowser (Kind Of) Addresses Complaints About Switch Online's Nintendo 64 Emulation

Honestly, the quality isn't good for N64 emulation. But for me personally, if they fix that and add basic chat features for your friends list on the system(party chat, sending messages and what not) then I'll be happy. Also, I think besides expanding the game selection, I think they should add other expansion packs to the service in the future, like add the expansion pass for Breath of the Wild, since the sequel will be coming out, and stuff like that. Also, give members who are the expansion pack members discounts on the eshop, similar to PS plus users

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Switch Pro "Will Have Exclusives", Says Insider

@Prizm
This is just pure speculation, but I think that if this new Switch exists, that the internals are the exact same, maybe something to better keep it from over hesting, but the dock is different. I think the dock will house a separate graphics card that the system will use in docked mode to give it the 4k visuals.

Re: Hacker Group Not Happy About Nintendo's "Censorship" And "Legal Scare Tactics"

Issac1070

@TG16_IS_BAE Actually, yes they can. EULA(End User License Agreement) is a legal contract that all individuals agree to once they purchase their console. In that agreement, you are not permitted to modify the console or software, if you do, Nintendo has every right to take legal action. In the eula they even tell you that if you do not agree with the terms, then you should return the product.

Re: Soapbox: Let's Give Nintendo Switch Online A Chance Before We Throw It To The Wolves

Issac1070

Here's what I think. My only complaint about the online service is having to use the app for chat. It is terrible and an inconvenience and awkward.

Virtual console:
Nintendo themselves, I think, confirmed that virtual console will not return, at least under the banner "virtual console" which to me means they plan to release more classic games with their online service. If you look on their website and read the outline for the service, it says "will launch with 20 NES Classic games, with more to come" something along those words. Meaning we're getting more games, could just be more nes, maybe on year 2 they'll do SNES, who knows.

They(Nintendo) also said that more details about their online service will come later before launch, meaning we still don't know everything. For $20 a year, there isn't much to complain about. It's a third the cost of Xbox and ps4. Also, they're adding online features the those classic games, online multiplayer and the "pass the controller" thing are awesome.

I think most people are nitpicking due to what has been announced not being what we wanted, which I understand. Hopefully when all details are revealed things will be clearer about what Nintendo plans are for online
