I'd say the Japanese version barely edges out for being more artistic. Let's be honest, a lot of those 90s era 3D renders have not aged well.
Donkey Kong Country springs immediately to mind. The games themselves are amazingly gorgeous, but the CGI renders of DK and the gang are... disturbing.

After 'Wooly World' and 'Crafted World' Yoshi's Story really should have been called 'Cardboard World' (Diorama World?)

You know what really baffles me? Super Mario Land 1 and 2 never got remakes, while Link's Awakening has gotten two so far (GBC, Switch).

Pretty sure he meant this as a joke, and particularly a dig at Avatar's "Unobtainium"

That's cool, except that Monopoly sucks.
They can dress it up with as many licenses as they want, but that doesn't change the fact that nobody actually likes the game.

I loved every second of this sketch, but the people who are honestly calling on Nintendo to scrap the upcoming movie and start over with Pascal are deluded. It's just a funny joke, people. Don't take it so damn seriously.

I'd argue that EVERY piece of Kirby music goes way harder than you'd expect from a series about a pink puffball.

It is odd that they would just remove the textures and nothing else.

@Tyranexx The bad parts of history deserve to be preserved just as much as the good. If not moreso. Personally, I'd kill for any sort of official re-release of the CDi Zelda and Mario games, but that'll never ever happen...

I have waaaay too many of these things as is, but I love having them on my shelves even if they don't get much use.
Needless to say, SSB and Zelda amiibo are top priority, but I have plenty of amiibo from other series as well. Notably Mario, Kirby, Metroid, and Splatoon.
I wouldn't really mind if Nintendo phased them out, though. They've had a good run and were probably more successful than they had any right to be.

I love how the US boaxart shows all the different castles, and it just so very dynamic.
The JPN boxart is good too, but Christopher looks really bored.
