@Phostachio Drugs arent comparable to a video game. But let me be more clear for you. If the AC team cared so much about cheating why dont they go the extra mile and cut out all aspects of cheating like time traveling and implement quality of life updates that would make the game feel less sluggish. It doesnt make any sense to quickly remove a glitch that affect so few people but refuse to have an update that lets you buy more than took mile at a time. I dont even cheat but I wont side with AC fans who will absolutely hound Nintendo to patch out duplication glitches that don't affect them whatsoever but are also perfectly okay with Nintendo not making common sense QOL changes.

Also considering not everyone can play during the middle of the day. If I get home from work and see that a grand piano that Ive been searching for is 160,000 bells and I dont have enough money to buy it right then and there, but the store closes in an hour am I just out of luck?? That doesnt make it a good game when you keep minimizing the target audience.

Just looking at the comments, Id honestly argue that turnips are more broken of a game mechanic than the dup glitches.
Plus if the devs really cared about cheating they would stop time travel.

Animal crossing has so many core mechanics in the game that are so outdated, as a life simulator its pretty garbage compared to others. If anything the glitches show that the game really needs an overhaul in content so that people wouldnt need to abuse glitches. Pokemon is kind of a good example as with each new entry theres less and less need for genning pokemon or hacking in items as they become easier to shiny hunt, breed, get good IVs, train, and etc.

But idk, ACNH is my first AC and like, its okay. Like the grind to get money to buy items to decorate your island is so tedious sometimes that its not worth it to struggle for 80% of the game because of how poor you are.
