Last gen I had a PS4 then the Pro and played them a lot, with the Wii U and then Switch being my 'second console'. As the gen went on, however, Switch became my main console, and the PS4 Pro got used less. Nowadays I game on my Switch all the time, and honestly have zero interest in a PS5. I want fun. I want joy in games. I care more about being happy in my hobby than about endless generic shooters and 120fps and 4K everything. Nintendo get it. God knows they're not a perfect company and make plenty of their own bizarre decisions, but articles like these are exactly why I've slowly phased Playstation out. Jim Ryan is treating the brand and its consumer base like his own personal piggy bank. Sony is not in a good state so far this gen, at least not for my own gaming wants.
@RandomGamesAndStuff I’m in a similar boat, this will be my first Splatoon I’ll be buying so I’m excited to jump in. Looking at other forums and comment sections the vast majority of people are looking forward to this game, it mostly seems to be on here that some are less enthused, weirdly, and I wonder if that’s because this site has sort of laid the groundwork for that sentiment with their previous posts on how “people are worried” (when they’re not really).
It's a marginal improvement over Wave 1, and generally fun because Mario Kart 8 is fun, but for me it's things like the static cars and trucks in New York Minute and lack of anti-grav (except for one course) and just the simplistic art style that make these tracks feel kinda lifeless. My hope is that Nintendo are in full development of a true sequel and these are just stop-gaps to fill the time. I'm glad other folks are enjoying them though, and the surprise in Kalimari Desert put a smile on my face. Also, the music for these DLC courses has been awesome!
This is a good example for why websites and news outlets should stop using twitter as a 'source'. Sure, Arlo's in there too, but a quick look online will tell you the vast *vast majority of people are excited for Splatoon 3.
I was actually seriously disappointed with the first wave of DLC tracks; the more simplistic art style clearly ripped straight from Tour and a complete lack of zero-g elements. I’d love to think they are taking extra time to put more effort into this next wave but I suspect that’s wishful thinking.

Re: Talking Point: Has Nintendo Done Enough To Justify Splatoon 3's Existence?
@Bolt_Strike Uh, don’t include me in this. I didn’t bring up the Mario Kart thing.

@Markiemania95 That's excellent, thank you!

I'm gutted I won't be able to see this live. Will they show it on TV?

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Has Leaked And Is Fully Playable On The Steam Deck
I just feel bad for the devs. Imagine working on this for years, only for it to leak right at the last hurdle.
