I understand being pessimistic, but if handled correctly, I’m all for this. I know their past attempts have been average, but if they get people who know what they’re doing, then this could be good! Castlevania, a game turned show, was good for that reason, so I hope a show turned game also turns out well.

Hopefully this sells well. I don’t want another AlphaDream situation...

Last year's... circumstances... let me experience some absolute gems I had on my backlog. The biggest were Hollow Knight, Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon (thanks, Chuggaaconroy!) and BOTW (I REALLY need to play Odyssey still, but that'll have to wait for now).

@FourBs Thankfully I primarily use the virtual console (though god help me if the console explodes), though the fact that I may not be able to play games like SSB4 or Splatoon is a bit worrying... Thanks for letting me know!

And this is why I own a Wii U. If only Pokémon put their main series games on there...

There honestly needs to be laws for scalping. If happy meals are being swiped, you know there’s a problem.

I still play with my 3DS quite a bit, so either way I need to use wired headphones at some capacity, though I imagine this would be great for those who primarily play on the Switch.

@GrailUK Yeah. It’s most Galaxy and Sunshine I’m more worried about.

@GrailUK I can't blame the internet from complaining, though. I've seen a ton of people in this very comment section say that they didn't know about this. Those people can't play the game anymore, and saying that they need to wait to buy a future console is a bit of an ask (to me, at least).

Considering how the prices are looking now BEFORE it's off sale, I'm not holding my breath.

@GrailUK I don't have the money currently, so I couldn't. Which of course sucks, since Galaxy is said to be one of the best games ever.

@GrailUK But there’s the possibility of that NOT happening. And considering it’s for the Switch, this may be the only way to play games like Galaxy portably. It’s encouraging scalping, a MASSIVE practice currently, which isn’t considerate to consumers, so of course people are complaining!

@Moistnado I mean, I remember seeing this brought up by them multiple times. They even released, like, 3 videos about it! I suppose it’s good that you saw this one, though.

I’m surprised that the WiiWare games weren’t mentioned here... although if you look at the graphics, maybe that’s for the best...

My only real criticism is that I feel the ending and lack of story in the postgame hampers it a bit... but this game is incredible.

The gameplay is extremely fun, with the emeras guaranteeing that every run through a dungeon is unique while also adding a new layer of strategy that goes hand in hand with the vast amount of Pokémon options and item selection of series’ past. Enemies are more than just pushovers now, as they can take quite a beating, which makes the use of items more valuable. They take what worked in previous entries, and built upon them.

The story is also great, and serves as a love letter to series veterans with a ton of references, and also a brilliant starting point (I would know!), as this story is completely new. While it’s slow to start, that slowness lets the characters fully develop, which is especially true for the partner, who is my favourite in the series.

Overall a great package, though I understand that not every likes the gameplay due to how different it is the standard Pokémon. But if you want what I would say is the best Pokémon experience on 3DS, I’d look into it!

Health is most important. I hope that, if he needs to, he’ll step away from composing.

I’m sorry for your loss. He truly sounded like an inspiration that I honestly wish I knew about before this happened. The world NEEDS more people like him, and I hope he is remembered as somebody to strive to become more like.

I would love for them to translate the Fire Emblem Jugdral games, though they are MUCH more likely to translate Roy’s games.

@ToneDeath I honestly think that the grass shown in the image belongs outside of the old chateau. It’s THAT drab to me. And is it just me, or is the colours of the trainers... off? Like, parts of the skin looks realistic, but then the hair is like a doll’s. It reminds me of Coralline a bit. I just hope they sort this out later on, as it is a while until release.

I don’t like that some of the assets, like the grass and buildings, seem darker. It makes the places that are supposed to be vibrant look... underwhelming, I guess? I’ll reserve judgement, but the world looks kinda drab right now, to me, at least.
