Re: Review: Batman: Arkham Trilogy (Switch) - Two Solid Ports, One Technical Disaster

With the exception of City these are terrible ports and some of the worst ways to play these games (OG ps3 also bad). You really need a stable frame rate for the combat to feel good. Arkham Knight runs amazing on the Steam Deck if anybody wants to play a handheld version of that game. The Wii U port of City was also horrendous in terms of frame rate so this might be the best City has ever run on a Nintendo console, not like that’s saying much though.

Re: The Witcher 3 On Switch Runs At 540p Portable, 720p Docked

GrayFox666

I own the Witcher 3 on PS4, Xbox, and my PC. That game was rough on the OG Xbox one and PS4. These are significant compromises and if you have any other option you really should play it literally anywhere else. However I want to get this just to actually see what it looks like because it seems crazy.

Re: Resident Evil 7 Is Coming To Nintendo Switch In Japan

If people really want to play RE7 and Monster Hunter World, just buy a PS4 you can get a new slim for $180 or even a used one for like $120. Going through this weird roundabout process to get RE7 on the switch seems so pointless as it is basically going against the entire point of what the switch is and offering a lesser experience of RE7 than any other place to play it. The worst of both worlds.

Re: DOOM Will Be 720p When Docked, And Unsurprisingly There's No 'Motion' Aiming

GrayFox666

30 fps is a deal breaker for me. DOOM needs that frame rate it was built to be lightning fast. I don't care about portability if that is what they have to sacrifice. Its still cool for people who only own a Switch because the DOOM campaign is one of the best FPS campaigns in years. (The multiplayer was kind of trash imo, so I hope thats DLC and not a forced patch).

Re: Doom Will Bring Hell to Switch This Holiday Season

@Koudai1979 I did not really mean offense I just find it absurd for people to only own a Nintendo console if they want to experience a fully rounded gaming experience. The same can be said for the other two consoles and PC because Nintendo are the only essential first party in this day and age. I love Uncharted....cant think of anything first party on Xbox thats fantastic, but Nintendo is the only one making VITAL first party games. Only owning a switch though seems kind of crazy I would opt for a PS4 over it anyday if you are can ONLY afford one

I own DOOM on PS4, Xbox One, and PC because I got the latter two on sale but I might pick it up on Switch just to see how a game like this compares. I have my doubts especially about Wolfenstein but this is cool for people who only own a Switch (which is absurd).
