Chattering companions didn't ruin some Sony games for me, but it does get irritating when they act like the player is an idiot and almost immediately tell you what do do in a puzzle situation or against a boss.
Like surely we have the technology by now, where you can turn a setting on or off that dictates whatever your companions give you hints or not.
